J Shipley When we visited while on vacation, we found a warm and welcoming church family. We were invited to stay for the after worship lunch and fellowship. It was delicious! We were treated like the brothers and sisters that we all are. Not only is the Bible is preached here, it is put into practiced.

Abby Traywick 5 stars isn’t enough! If you want a church that accepts you for who you are, the Dwelling is for you. From the moment you come in the parking lot you feel like family. You feel loved. Sunday has become my son’s favorite day of the week. The worship music is great, the messages from Pastor Gunter are life changing and interactive. You feel part of the message, not lectured to. Everyone here genuinely cares about people and want to help our community become a better, loving place.

Dale Sherry Warm, wonderful people. Bible-based, honest teaching. Pastor Jim brings the word in all its weight. There is a well staffed childcare center, as well. No feeling of being pressured at all, just welcome there. Good free lattes and coffee. Music is current, very relevant, but excessively loud... But they do have earplugs for those who need them.

Mallory Carter We love this church and the people and the pastor! The people that we have met there have become a second family for us. Pastor Stephen preaches straight from the Bible and we have learned so much over the years. Serving at the church has also been such a blessing for our family!

Anchors Away Sailing Charters The journey was a great event put on by Compassion Church. A reenactment of the birth of Jesus. You had the opportunity to go back in time and experience what it must have been like to live during that time. They did a fantastic job putting this together. It really brings the Bible to life. This was walking through an outdoor trail starting with Mary learning that she was going to have a child and ended with the birth of Jesus and the three wise men. Even walking toward the start of the trail, you were greeted by Roman soldiers who were not so friendly, just as you would have imagined them to be. The actors did a great job playing their roles and staying in character. The props were very detailed including walking through the market in Bethlehem and paying your taxes (which they provided the gold coins at the beginning for your taxes) and being counted for the census. This experience took 2 hours to go through but very worth it. We will be driving up there to experience the church service at some point. We are not looking to change churches but we would like to see what there services are like.

Timothy Prinz Last Sunday my cousin and I attended St Johns for an 11:00 church service, with the Atlanta Boys Choir. The service was glorious. The congregation was extremely friendly after the service they had a wonderful coffee over at the Meldrum Green house. Thank you for the highlight of our visit to wonderful Savannah

Joyce Daly Came for 8:00 mass, no sign of anyone, they must have only live stream services at this time. Merry Christmas! Attended the 10:00 Mass for the 4th and 5th Sundays during Lent. Very warm and welcoming! The Gospel choir is amazing!

Julie Shepherd A tour that you must do while in Savannah! Our tour guide, who was the associate minister, did an excellent job explaining the history behind this beautiful church and its congregation. Tours are normally at 11 am and 1 pm. The church website has more detailed information and you can purchase your tickets ahead of time online. The proceeds from the tickets go back to an amazing non profit that is associated with the church that supports job training and resources for those in need.
