5 /5 Fort Park: 5 stars so this gets read by everyone. In elementary school this church traumatized me with a Halloween “hell house.” I didn’t consent to that experience back then and as an an adult I don’t understand what biblical basis there was for this. I just thought we were going on a youth trip for Halloween. An entire generation of children were disturbed by this Halloween dramatization for an imagined place none of the planners of the haunted house have proof for or ever visited themselves. Perhaps someone else with a better memory can describe the individual details as I can only recall extreme heat and fire and being terrified of the devil, hell and people “of the world”. As an adult now I wonder why other adults at that time didn’t speak up that it was a bad idea to dramatize hell for Halloween children entertainment.
