I was only with them for 6 months, and by default, since the neighboring local agent closed. First time I spoke to an agent, April, she was rude, but I stuck with them anyways. When I went to renew last month, Allstate had raised my price by hundreds of dollars even though my driving record is spotless. Then, when I went to cancel, no one would return my call. When I finally got someone on the phone, they told me to write an email to cancel. Two weeks later now I still have no cancellation and refund/credit of my unused amount, and I just had to waste over half an hour, talking to the national company line to get my cancellation and refund taken care of.
