1 /5 Cryssi P: I’m deeply disappointed in the actions of this church and its members. For a place that claims to stand on the foundation of love, inclusion, and Christlike compassion, the behavior I experienced was anything but. When someone in need reached out—not for money, not for handouts, but simply for connection—they were met with judgment, dismissal, and cold indifference.
What’s worse is that the refusal to help wasn’t based on the church’s actual capacity to assist, but on the personal opinion of one of its members. That’s not ministry. That’s gatekeeping. It’s hypocritical for a church to preach love while turning its back on the marginalized, especially when those same people are the ones Christ walked with, served, and stood up for.
If you’re going to talk about being the hands and feet of Jesus, try not to use those hands to push people away or those feet to walk past those in need. The world is full of blind eyes and closed hearts—I expected better from a house of God.
