Lin&Anne Cook This is a wonderful church. We have attended here for about 15 years whenever we visit the area. The preaching is excellent, clear, and based on the Bible. The pastor has a robust knowledge of the Scriptures. The music is contemporary but good for all age groups. The people are extremely friendly. A great place for both those who live in the area and those who are vacationing to be loved, encouraged, and better understand the Bible.

Mary Lu Glidden We love our church! When we visited the first time we saw the sign that said "Welcome, you are home" and it was true. We were greeted and welcomed as if we were coming home. Were currently getting ready to serve the Bradenton Florida community after 2 hurricanes back to back. Come and see what God has provided.

Chemion Wolf My family and I were in town for vacation and attended the Sunday morning service! We felt so welcomed and the preaching and preacher was amazing! I definitely recommend this church. So blessed that God led us here.

Lisa Moscarello What a super living nativity they put on. Truly captured the spirit of Christmas and the reason for the season. They took care of everything from live animals to hot chocolate and cookies with sprinkles. They filled you up spiritually, as well as filling you with goodies, even hot coffee! After enjoying the living nativity, we got to view the polar express in the sanctuary on the big screen. As we were ready to go, we were taken back to our vehicle in a very comfy golf cart. Everyone there was extremely friendly.

So rare to find this treasure among the "BIG BOX" superficial churches in Bradenton... Truly a breath of The Spirit... This body walks the walk of Christ Jesus!!!

Wayne and Stephanie Altpeter Every year or two we visit our father who lives in Bradenton . We always go to church while there and find the Church of Bradenton our home church when away from home . This past Sunday we visited and the Spirit of God was just totally absorbed in the people , including myself ! I felt the Spirit leading me to recommit my life to Christ and to be baptized on the spot . Oh how I wish I would have obeyed !!! Oh men of God , now is the time to recommit and stand up strong for our families, communities, states and our nation ! Don’t do what I did !! When you feel the Spirit leading , don’t be a chicken like me , you jump up and go !!! I have thought about that moment the rest of our vacation and now at home . I know that His Spirit is preparing me for a time like that again . I’m listening and will obey His leading . Love your church !! Wayne Altpeter

Pam Mills If you are new to the area and need to find a church where you will be loved from day one and make friends quickly, this is the place to go. They are one of only two churches in the area who actually answer messages on their contact page on their website from people looking for a church, and this church knows how to reach out beyond their walls without organize events to do it. They go above and beyond to love people beyond the walls of church. People in this church live what they believe. I have seen it. This is what church is supposed to look like, and I believe this church will grow because of it. Every church should follow their example and do what they do. It makes me happy every time my friend who leads the young adult women’s bible study talks about bringing in somebody new into our group. Also, I’m going through some health issues right now, and I have been improving in a lot of ways since starting to go to that church, and I think some of that is because I’m not alone anymore. There are so many amazing people there that are praying me through my appointments each week, and a friend has gotten me out of the house to eat lunch with them and talk. I have only sat alone once on a Sunday. I have so many people come up to me and talk or give me hugs. They have literally been this welcoming from day one. As someone who is an introvert and on the autism spectrum and has limited mobility, I appreciate always having a friend to sit with and people going up to me since I’m not always brave enough to say hi first. I hate sitting alone in church, especially since contemporary worship services are a sensory issue for me, so I really appreciate always having a friend next to me. I don’t even have to ask for that. It just happens, and the friend that I sit with most in church is awesome, and so are the other friends that I have sat with! At a breakfast I went to, a friend even walked up to me when I looked nervous and like a deer in headlights and had me sit with her. At the thing I went to tonight, a friend pushed me in a wheelchair over to sit with her and her family, who are all really amazing people. I have never felt weird there. They treat me like I am normal and they include me. This church is amazing. I don’t know how long I will be living in Florida, but I wish I had found you earlier. Thank you for including me and treating me like one of your own from day one. You are the reason I am starting to consider staying in Florida if I can afford to live here and manage to afford enough help to get well. You are truly a blessing.

Henny M Last night was the first time for me visiting the Family Church at Christian Retreat. I came for the Feast of Tabernacle — Such a celebration!! Feel the presence of God and had a wonderful time dancing, worshipping, praising the King of kings, Lord Jesus! Hallelujah..

Brian Bagley-Bonner This church is full of caring, welcoming people. They are an Open and Affirming Congregation of the United Church of Christ, so are welcoming and supportive of all people including the LGBTQ community, Progressive and thoughtful Christianity is preached in a small and informal setting. A little hard to get to, you must enter the parking lot off 48th St Court. Church is behind Thortens Gas Station.
