4 /5 Maria Lebron: I was seeking a more reverent mass while on vacation and stumbled upon this parish because they have a Latin novus ordo once a month. Overall, I was pleased with the parish. Here are some notes that may influence your decision to attend: - Very reverent priest (it was the pastor who said my mass) - Tabernacle in sanctuary - Several women veiled - Several people knelt to receive communion - St Michael prayer said at end - Bells used at the consecration - Male altar server in cassock and surplice - Used a projector on the wall for song lyrics - Mostly all modern worship music, although there was organ before mass and one more traditional hymn sung during mass - EMCs used (Although if you use center aisles you could go to priest/deacon) - Communion offered under both kinds

5 /5 Paul Richards: St John The Evangelist Church is a vibrant community doing the work of the Holy Spirit. I visited the church when I was traveling through Panama City. Not only did I attend mass but I was invited to attend the picnic to celebrate the anniversary of their church founding. Father Kevin brings the mass alive with his unique and energetic personality. His homily was moving and his message not one to easily forget. The music was wonderful, uplifting and made feel very much apart of the celebration. I was blessed to have attended this warm and friendly community and will return whenever I’m back in the area.

5 /5 Gus Palafox: The best church Ive ever been too !! Father Kevin is amazing , just come one time and you will see for yourself . We have the best musical director in Gabriel , period !! The people are nice and very welcoming to ALL !!

5 /5 Becky McGruder: I was visiting Panama City from Missouri and attended mass on the evening of December 30 at St. John’s evangelist Catholic Church. I have to say I can’t remember when I enjoyed a mass so much. I was welcomed at the door and told enjoy the mass, I liked that the priest stood and gave a brief explanation before each of the readings. The homily was very meaningful and applicable to our lives. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The music was beautiful and really enhanced the experience

5 /5 Kevin Quinn: My wife and I have been in town for a month. We have attended weekday masses nearly everyday. The pastor, father Kevin is absolutely wonderful and very friendly. He gives wonderful sermons and shows courage in speaking the truths of our catholic doctrine. Twice a week, students from the school attend mass and he tailors his sermons to the children. They all seem to love him. During this difficult time, they follow strict COVID guidelines for the safety of everyone. We highly recommend that people attend St John the Evangelist Church when visiting Panama City, Florida. Kevin and Betty Quinn Liberty Twp, OH
