I wanted to say a special thanks to Carlos DeVarona , RRT, CPFT. He was the first person we encountered on the unit to check in and he went above and beyond to help us and make us all feel comfortable. He even went downstairs to make sure my sister could join us. He showed us the valve that would be implanted and told us how it would work, brought chairs for everyone, offered water and genuinely seemed to care and love what he was doing.
