Yandy Lopez Rodriguez I am happy to be assisted at Borinquen Health Care Center, the Doctor is wonderful. Today I am a little upset because I had a missed day, I remember that in the last appointment the doctor told to the medical assistant to give me an appointment due to a pain that I have and the medical assistant made an appointment for me for an oral cleaning when They are made every 6 months and I had one in March. I really feel bad that I wasted the day when we all know that Time here is super important.

Yanina Avila I do not recommend this place at all. My husband and I missed a day of work to go to an appointment. I had an appointment at 4:00 pm. After waiting until 5:30 pm, the owner told me that the device they were going to put on me had expired. I made my appointment a week in advance. Dont waste your time.

Auto Center The best medical center in Dade County. I dont have insurance and found myself in need to see a doctor for Labs and Scan. I called almost everyone in Dade County and no-one would see me without insurance and the one or two exceptions had no immediate appointments. Called Paradisus on Thursday, Juani told me to come in on Saturday morning and not to worry about insurance, they accept self-pay and walk-ins. I was surprised how fast and even more surprised the amazing and outstanding service provided. The very same day they did Labs. They wont turn their back on you. You can trust and place your health in their good hands. Thank you Juani for your excellent service and for your kind, caring and good heart. YOU DESERVE 10 GOLD STARS!!!

Kay This is my first& last visit. The front desk lady dosent even acknowledged you when you sign in or check out. She dosent even speak or even try to comprehend English instead she gets frustrated & yell at the patients & yes I have a recording of her doing that. This is Miami get someone who is fluent bilingual in English/Spanish & English/Creole. I waited almost 2hrs for my daughter appt. Than the doctor complaining to me she so busy she didnt even take lunch yet. I dont play with my child health & I dont trust this clinic they are all over the place. They dont have no compassion or care for their patients.

Vivian Pena Nurses are kind to patients staff is gentle and very concerned either each patient. This has been the only hospital that has treated my family member with dignity and love. The Drs are helpful and this has also been the only hospital that has given my family member the correct medications. Hospitals like Larkins Jackson behavioral palmetto that is no longer open are abusive towards the or patients. These patients don’t choose to have mental illness they are there because something happened . Southern wings thank you for all you do not only for my family but for others. Thank you Ms Bovo for your great administration for the hospital. ❤️

Rick Robles I would like to start off saying the backer act is minimum of 72 hours. The process is difficult to understand. If someone is violent or tried to commit suicide backer act maybe the best option. Keep in mind if someone never did any violence and needs help, that person could voluntarily be admitted and the could decide to leave once feeling better or 24 hours after you asking to leave. The nurses on the floor are nice and kind. They try to meet your requests with hygiene. And also when you need some thing that was locked up. Nurses at the nurses are more involved with making you sign papers. A head nurse printed a form then ripped it very angrily because the patient. I’m not a psychiatrist, but that doesn’t seem to help the patient. At another occasion this same man and 2 other intimidating males intimidated the patient to sign. You need to leave the SW and go the pharmacy before the next dosage to avoid a problem, but for some reason the pharmacy didn’t have the prescription ready because they said it was scheduled to be filled 2 days later. Not really a problem, just keep it in mind to call the pharmacy because the first day back is frantic. I’m not sure if this was SW or the pharmacy problem. wouldn’t if a particular form wasn’t signed because the court would have to be involved.. was more involved in keeping the paperwork straight and even get intimidating if you refuse to sign. Unfortunately for our patient: the other patient in the room attempted to escape which caused. Our patient to only get a few minutes of sleep that night. The patient that tried to escape was eventually put in a chair but he continued to make noise and try to escape. From 1am to sunrise there were from 2 people to about 10 people depending what escapee was doing. I fail to understand why the staff didn’t realize this man wasn’t interested in sleep since he kept yelling at the people monitoring him to “get out of his house”. I feel they should have taken the chair and the patient to the TV room were his actions wouldn’t keep any other patients awake. It seems as if someone has insurance, they stretch the time out. To keep people a day or 2 more. I’m not sure if it’s a racket, but definitely the last night was horrible and not productive with no sleep. was in once this man they couldn’t and couldn’t start sleeping until the sun came up. I fail to understand why they couldn’t put this patient in the TV room and monitor him there so our patient could sleep??? not productive: one patient kept getting up to try to escape. They eventually put the that patient in a chair and the room and monitored him all night.? This room had the patient that tried to escape and a minimum of 2 other staff at one point like 10 staff went in there. Who could sleep through that????? I’m sure an earlier release from baker act would have helped our patient since the sleepless night (above) is bad for anyone especially if they have depression. For the release, they told us to be at a certain time for pickup but made the release 2 hours later almost causing my wife to get fired. This stressed the paitient even more. I know the sleepless night was not southern wind’s fault, but the 2 hours delay was not necessary and it did stress out the patient. The 2 hour delay was definitely Ernesto Serrano not getting the paperwork it did not seem to concern him the stress it could have caused our family during a bad time.

Yami Yami Having surgery at Palmetto General hospital has been a great experience. At first, I was very skeptical because of the reputation but they proved me wrong. The staff from same day surgery was very family oriented and made us feel like home. The doctors and nurses kept my husband updated throughout the day and the manager herself walked him personally to the recovery suit. She was a sweet heart and made sure we both had moment of privacy after a long day of surgery. It feels good to see some passionate people there. Thank you all for making this experience great

Julio César Álvarez Hernández Im so grateful for the exceptional care my family received at our community hospital! The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring, making us feel like we were in good hands from the moment we walked in. The doctors and nurses were knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to explain everything clearly, putting our minds at ease. The hospitals smaller size actually turned out to be a blessing, as we received personalized attention and didnt feel lost in the shuffle. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the compassionate and professional care we received, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this community hospital to anyone in need of medical attention.

Melissa Cooper This review is a long time coming! My first and only visit with this doctor was horrible. Please note this visit was back in 2009 and I am still traumatized. I arrived for my appointment on time and had to wait THREE HOURS before I saw dr. vAlor. When I finally saw dr. vAlor he looked at my x-rays (that I brought with me) he listened to my lungs and said "you have asthma, come back for a PFT". He spent less than 15 minutes with me! I was misdiagnosed! I have EMPHYSEMA! If I would have been correctly diagnosed maybe my condition would not have progressed as it has. Even after all these years that visit with dr. vAlor still upsets me. I want others to be aware and get a second opinion or just see a different doctor.

Joanna Jubitana I have been requesting immediate support because my landlord is attempting fraud, and I am being held responsible for their actions by agencies distributing government financial assistance, including Camillus House and Citrus Health Network. I was not informed that I had to pay $51 per month until May 2024, despite signing my lease in September 2023. Citrus Health Network stated they would cover my entire rent of $1,923 or up to the equivalent amount because I was in the Section 8 ELAN program, as indicated in the ELAN document I signed with Citrus Health Network. However, in May 2024, HUD informed me that I was not a Section 8 participant and that my program was part of the Continuum of Care Program for permanent housing. In May 2024, my landlord, Nadlan Property Management, charged me the full rent amount for the period from September 2023 to May 2024, as well as late fees of approximately $300 per month thereafter. I was unemployed at the time, and my program supervisor at Citrus Health Network was aware that I could not contribute to payments, as rehousing was an emergency for those transitioning from a shelter with children. They agreed to wait for a decision from the Social Security Administration regarding my income before I began paying my portion of the rent, as my children’s father had not been paying child support. During this waiting period, the landlord continued to apply late fees of approximately $300 per month. Unfortunately, I was denied income from the Social Security Administration in September 2024, which forced me to seek reemployment. I began working part-time for Miami Dade County Public Schools as a Reading Interventionist at Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary from late August to late October but was terminated due to a lack of funding for the interventionist position as stated by the school principal. During this time, more late fees were included with the unpaid rent. I contributed to the rent during my two months of work, yet late fees continued to accrue after I submitted my rent. Now, the City of Miami has refused to pay the landlord their portion of the rent due to failed inspections by the landlord, not because of me. However, the landlord is attempting to hold me responsible for these failures. When I shared this with Alexandra Reyes at Camillus House, she dismissed my concerns and sided with Nadlan Property Management. I was not present for the September 5, 2024 inspection but attended the inspection on February 7, 2025, which was successfully completed by the Section 8 inspector. He will return in 30 days to verify that the necessary maintenance work has been completed. I had not heard from Fatima Reyes or Section 8 regarding the September 5 inspection, which occurred while I was at work. If that inspection did not take place, it would be considered another failure, which might explain why Section 8 has not approved payments, although this has not been officially declared. Additionally, Alexandra Reyes stated that Section 8 would not cover the rent from the time of the failed inspection and that I would be responsible for that portion. I should not be held liable for rent due to the failed inspection, as Section 8 needs to fulfill their obligation to submit payments for the rent that was agreed upon. This situation is fraudulent and could lead to homelessness, with no one advocating for me and my children as tenants. Instead, it appears that various organizations, including the Homeless Trust, Nadlan Property Management, Camillus House, the Lotus House Women & Children Shelter, and even the Office of Housing Advocacy are manipulating the system to organize homelessness in order to lead the government and gain more funding.

Jae McQueen If you over 16 weeks pregnant don’t bother coming. I was given the run around for 2 weeks prior then told that the doctor would call me but she never did. This was intentional so I wouldn’t be seen by the Obgyn since I would’ve been further in my pregnancy pass the deadline. I would’ve respected the Doc had she said she couldn’t take me instead of not calling at all. They very picky with who they accept. If you planning to do walk-ins set an appointment even if they tell you to do a walk in. Years ago the clinic was organized and professional now everyone lazy, unprofessional and picky with who they want to take.

Sharra This is one of the worst places to go for any appointment. They’re very unorganized, have long wait times just to get in touch with someone on the phone , and it seems as if no one knows what they’re doing. I came for an ultrasound so they sent me to the OBGYN and waited over 20 minutes , just for the OBGYN to tell me i’m in the wrong area. I went to the family medicine where the OBGYN sent me just for the family medicine area to say “we don’t have ultrasound equipment, try the OBGYN”. As I went back to the OBGYN they said “oh can you come back after our lunch break or reschedule?”. They were very unorganized and rude. Never coming back to this place again, it was a waste of time.
