Nemi Bonnie The doctor I saw today provided a terrible experience. She walked into the room standing and never sat down, making the interaction feel rushed and impersonal. She didn’t ask to see what caused my allergic reaction, and when I showed her the product, she stood with her arms crossed, showing no interest in even looking at it. My face was visibly swollen, yet she never asked how I was feeling. I understand she may have read my notes, but her complete lack of bedside manner was unacceptable.
Then, without much explanation, she told me she was prescribing 40mg of Dexamethasone, which immediately raised concerns. She even repeated it twice, but I knew that this dose was excessive since the daily recommended amount typically shouldn’t exceed 6mg. I asked why 40mg then she apologize, said it was a mistake.
My advice to this doctor is simple: treat all patients with kindness and respect, regardless of any assumptions you may have about them. This isn’t about race, it’s about basic human decency. I will never return to this urgent care.

Lee F Hollingsworth I was seeing there Sunday have glass in my hand the doctor or nurse practitioner looked at it felt around gave me some antibiotics and some generic motrin. He told me to see my primary care if the pain or if the wound doesnt get better. Primary Care is out of the office all week so finally Friday I went back to southwood urgent Care I give southwood four stars cuz they were able to tell that I still had glass in my hand and he didnt feel comfortable removing it because of where it was more than acceptable. He suggested I go to toc actually its just I call them my appointment though is it for a couple of days I go back to them to get some pain management or something else to help with the pain till Monday but they were closed so I go back to the location actually I call them Im put on hold for 19 minutes and 36 seconds I actually arrived at their location while Im still on hold Im told by the nurse on duty they cant do anything for pain they cant give me a script they cant give me an injection they said basically all they can do is put a bandage on it and refer me to er. I thought this was quite inappropriate being at the urgent Care the idea of an urgent Care is to alleviate that need for an ER so the ER doctors can actually take care of things that require an emergency room such as Im gushing blood and or I have a gunshot room where I was in a car accident or something else requiring wound care thats more than what is required in regards to get a little piece of glass out of my thumb
