addium Uppicus Well as all things change, it isnt always for the better. Used to live in Trenton 4 years ago. Then ACE was my go to store. Even since Ive moved away 1.5hrs if I need something I still would stop by this store. That stopped last week. I needed a couple bar nuts for a chain saw. I know they handle Stihl but I Also knew what I needed is also a Stihl component. I was greeted by a young girl as I came in and asked for the resident chainsaw guru. She and another employee laughed and said he was out back. Im familiar with the store, I found the guru. He asked what I wanted... I said I need couple bar nuts for an Echo CS3000 . He immediately bristled cut me off and said We only work on Stihl. I started to say the parts will cross over for what Im looking for. Never got the chance as he turned away and said Nothing for Echo.... Ive worked on mechanical equipment professionally for 14 years at a facility covering all sorts of equipment. I understand it. But rude has no place in any retail operation. I shut up turned around and went to the hardware section where I found two of what I needed by size and thread pitch. Also I wont be referring anyone anymore yo this store as I have in the past.

Tarryn Oakes Not a good experience. The manager and assistant manger were very rude, un-welcoming, and very short when trying to communicate with them. And a good friend of mine who is a vendor with Ace said how the manager made her cry because of how he (the manager) spoke to her. If you can AVOID THE MANAGER AND ASSISTANT MANAGER, the rest of the staff were a delight and nice.

Amanda Fouts I went in yesterday for a specific product, couldn’t find it so one of the employees helped me locate it at the BACK of the store to an end cap which had a valid price tag of $4.59. I picked up three and headed to check out. They rang up for $6.99. I stated the price difference and the cashier said the price went up; from the time I walked to the front of the store? I told her the tag said $4.59 and she said it didn’t matter they went by the price it scans for. She sent another employee to the FRONT location to get a tag that read $6.99 (where there was NO product on the shelf) and not where the employee took me to. I told her that’s not where the employee took me and not where the product was. The employee that assisted me brought the tag up that read $4.59 from where he gave me the product and again the cashier said it was $6.99. At that point I requested a refund of the products. She called a manager and I was offered a “meet in the middle “ of $5.99….no. Customer service is no longer a main concern of this ace hardware and the attitude from the very beginning at check out was insane. The previous employees who went the extra mile to help ALL customers and not just those they know are gone, there are less than a handful still there that care and are truly helpful and I hope management notices those employees and does what’s necessary to keep them. People will drive further for a better experience.
