I discovered The Hair Society through a local Facebook group, and I’m so glad I gave them a try! After searching for someone who can style men’s hair—and often leaving salons and barbershops disappointed—my experience here was a breath of fresh (h)air. Emily (the owner) and Judy have top-notch skills. They’re serious about their craft but are also very personable and so much fun to be around. On top of that, their prices are very competitive. The salon itself is located in a quaint area, with a simple yet thoughtfully designed and very welcoming interior. I can confidently say I’ve found my go-to place and will be a loyal customer for as long as I live here. In fact, I anticipate moving to Gulf Breeze soon but Ill be more than happy to cross the Garcon Point every time I need a haircut.

Paige Ammons Kira was beyond amazing! She was able to schedule me in relatively last minute, and was so helpful in finding a hairstyle to compliment my dress for a photo shoot. She let me add in my input and adjusted the styling without any complaints. Not to mention she filled in as a friend even though she had just met me, and helped me find Pinterest inspiration for the photo shoot on top of making me look and feel beautiful. We’ve had one hairdresser for over a decade and had to stop using her because she got too outrageously expensive and time consuming from overbooking herself. It took years to find someone new and trustworthy. Emily is wonderful. Quick and on point. Tell her what we want and get exactly that. We get her undivided attention so she’s quick. Amber Rutherford I would NOT recommend going to Audra Miller if you’re searching for a new hair stylist to color your hair or needing any color service at all. She completely FRIED my hair. I had a hair appointment with her at 3:30 pm and didn’t leave the salon until almost 3 AM the NEXT MORNING. I was there 11 hours. I went in asking for a full highlight and about 20 minutes into applying the bleach on my hair she said my hair needed a “color correction.” I trusted her because she said she’s been doing hair for “20 years” and I know nothing about hair but that was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I’ve ever made. I’ve gotten my hair done for a long time, by hair dressers in our small town, I have grey at the root so I try to get blonde to cover it up. Before going in I haven’t had my hair done in 1 year. I had new growth so my hair looked like ombré hair with blonde on the bottom, but of course it turned a different shade of blonde as it hadn’t been touched in a year. Audra fried my hair completely due to her negligence. She left bleach on my hair, in foils and put my hair under heat, which I at least have proof since I was texting my daughter during my appointment and the last time I sent her a picture with foils of bleach was 11 something pm, again my appointment started around 3:40 pm. Audra has lied on the social media about me and I have all documentation saying I just want a refund due to not liking it and I’m a scammer. No, I want a full refund due to the state of my hair now, the damage and all the hair fall out I’ve had since my appointment with her a week ago. I asked her several times, before and during my appointment how much it’d be too, and she kept saying she “didn’t know until the end.” Come to find out she not only charges per hour (why she is the slowest stylist in the salon) she doesn’t just take her time, she’s robbing you, she also charges per amount of product she uses. $790 dollars later and fried hair I’m having to unfortunately go an alternative route to seek a full refund and get my money back for products and treatment I’ve had to use since letting her color my hair. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone and I hope this review can save and help at least one person in our small town. I could say so much more but Google only allows a certain amount of words for a review, but just know she will bash you on the internet as well if you even dare to try to get a refund from her, or don’t like your hair. Which nobody would like their hair falling out. I can’t even explain how awful this experience has been and if I could leave no stars I would, not for the salon but for Audra Miller herself. The only pictures I’m not adding are the ones I text to my daughter that show the time stamp of bleach still being on my hair as it shows her phone number and other personal information, the texts between Audra and I, and everything she has posted on Facebook about me I have proof of before she deleted it, but I will be using all documentation for all other purposes. The red shirt picture is the only issue I felt I had at the time when I got home that morning, having 2 different sides of my head being 2 different colors until I washed it and had all the hair fallout. I wish I would have started taking pictures at the salon because I had about 5-10 brush fulls of hair fall out there which she said was normal after bleach. I guess it is normal after HOURS of bleach being on your hair. The damage, breakage, bleach irritation on the back of my neck, all of that you can see in these pictures but I have over 35 pictures for what I’m going to need them for. The side by side picture she posted on her page shows only the roots being brown and my hair was so much more brighter BEFORE. My hair is naturally course and she tries to say my hair was fried before she touched it but as you can see, it was not. That’s why I’m posting so many pictures here as well. Please do extensive research before going to a new hair stylist, as this is going to take years of recovering from since the breakage is everywhere, and use your best judgment when choosing her.

You can tell that Audra truly cares about her clients, and she will do what she knows is best for her clients. Audra even goes out of her way to recommend products that will benefit her client’s hair type and hair needs. She did the BEST job cutting and styling my hair. It had been years since I got a haircut, and Audra made me feel so comfortable. She is SO sweet and she is so fun to talk to. She also waxed my eyebrows and it was the most painless wax I have ever had. I have truly never met a better stylist, and I will forever continue to use Audra for all of my salon needs.

Kira Schiffman I recently had a terrible experience and got a messed up hair cut elsewhere. I let it grow out some... and went to Deborah Hart to not just fix it but also give me a *good* hair cut. First time in a long time ive genuinely been satisfied with my experience at a salon. She also did the amika deep conditioning treatment on my hair. It feels amazing! I highly recommend adding that to your cut. On top of all that - Deborahs customer service was top notch. Shes amazing! Please ask for her. Summer Smith As a hairstylist myself I understand how hectic work life can get sometimes and how often you hate last minute appointments. Thankfully, after a long day of work and finding out my child had tried to cut his own hair, I messaged Ash to see if she had 2 last minute spots for my boys because I had no patience left for the day to do it myself. Julia Balkom-Henderson Jade was great! I was referred to her by a friend after my original appointment was cancelled at a different salon. I needed same day hair care in a holiday, and Jade made it happen and even stayed late. Hair was gorgeous so I was expecting to pay a higher price for the quality and short notice, but I paid about a third of what I was imagining. Highly recommend!

Gabrielle Bibona Rose used to cut our familys hair for years, then one day we waited for over an hour and she allowed someone to walk in and jump right in front of all three of us. We even called to make sure she had room first. Then she told us she didnt have time for any of us after cutting his hair. Today her chair was empty and she refused to cut my hair again. She used to be very friendly, we always had great conversations and we tip very well. WE wont be going back!

Ryan Smith My daughter is so picky when it comes to her hair so finding a place took so much time and research. I finally decided to give Unbridled a shot. We got booked with Laura and she got us in the next day! My daughter was so scared but Laura made her feel comfortable and beautiful. I could see my daughter basically holding her breathe the whole time Laura was cutting her hair but the second she turned that chair and she got to look at herself you could see the immediate relief. For the first time in a LONG time I saw my daughter look at herself and see true beauty and as a mother, theres no greater feeling. I 100% recommend Laura for any of your hair needs! Adam Lunsford I go here to see my wife and get a haircut. Shes great with guys hair and can do a lot more than the standard clipper-cut. She has been able to help me pull off everything from the short combover to David Tennant Dr Who style and now a French Quaf with a Mid-fade. Ladies, several of my friends live going to see her and what she can do with color is amazing. There are a few other stylists there that can do about anything you want, and are excellent at their craft like Ms Sue(owner), Mrs Robyn, and Mrs JJ, among others. They have a Nail Technician, Mrs Sonya , who does awesome work for every person I have talked to. Mrs Lisa Ambuehl is a Licensed Massage Therapist that has the most peaceful and soothing room, and hands that are absolutely magical. I have been seeing her for about 3yrs now, and she has been able to find places I didnt know were even associated with the pain I was having and relax my muscles completely. Its like she knows without me having to say anything. I would highly recommend this salon.

Ruth Henderson This is an awesome salon. The ladies have been there a long time. It is very clean and they seem to be as safe as they can, using masks and sanitizing the equipment etc. I have been using this salon since moving to Milton in 2001. They get a 5 star rating from me. My husband and I had our hair cut by J.J. and she was amazing, she took her time getting to know us, the way our hair grows and the shape of our heads. She listened to what I wanted, asked the questions she needed to, then offered opinions and shared her expertise. In the end, I am thrilled with my cut and she is now stuck with me as a client! Hubbys hair turned out great too. The other stylists at the salon were also friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the salon.

T J The staff was nice and the facility was clean. I chose this place because of the Facebook page. Even selected style, color from their page. Needless to say, 5 hours later, a day missed from work it was NOT what I asked for. The cut was uneven. The tips of my hair were to be colored and the top high lighted. When my hair dried, it was not only burnt, it looked like someone put a bowl on my head, then colored underneath the bowl red. I was extremely upset and went to another place the next morning for treatments to condition my hair. My hair is brittle. It was way over processed. I was able to have some do low lights, highlights just to blend it in. Most expensive lesson ever. $185 plus tip. The other place fixed it. Did the same thing, lowlights highlights, and only charged $100. Needless to say, I am not able to recoup any of my money because I did not come back for this girl to try and fix it. Silly girl, like I was going to let you touch my hair again. The cut was not even at all. I have plenty of photos. Maybe this is a one-off for me. I recommend price checking when you are checking on beauticians, too. Ill never go back. Should have known something was fishy when I could not see myself in the mirror while she did my hair, because she had signs up about her new prices. She had to go up in them....... I normally do not give bad reviews, but this person obviously did not listen. I have hearing loss, she was told to look at me when speaking so I could read her lips and not let me guess what she was saying. I am disappointed and will not recommend it..

DCT Mom My time was not respected and comfort was not a priority. Stylist was late, it was 78 degrees when I walked in the small salon and they only turned on the air once the salon was full of people (too much body heat) and several others asked for air to be turned on. The stylist didnt engage at all, so it made for an awkward visit. The color was not as desired- much darker and not at all as what was described- stylist could be new to the profession. The cut, while super easy(-trim the ends) was good,. Prices online are basically false advertising as I was charged over double the online price. I did try 5 times to confirm the price before I went - I called 3 times(no one would answer) and showed up twice to be told the stylist was not the price "should" be close

Pretty Handy Chick My daughter got her hair done by Alyssa and it turned out so beautiful. She loved how it looked! The people here are incredibly kind and welcoming and great conversationalist. I also had my 2 year old son with me and they were very accommodating with him, letting him play on the terrace. I will be only going here for my daughters and my hair from now on. Thanks again for a great experience.

Cecelia Calvert Alyssa is great! She spent hours on my hair and still took the time to put toner on my hair a second time due to having red that did not pull the first time she put toner on it. I dont get my hair done often and I didnt really know what I wanted. She was so patient with me in trying to help find a cut and color that I would like and would work for me based on how I am used to styling my hair. I havent been happy with my hair in a long time and Alyssa made me love my hair again! It is so beautiful! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair already, and I just had it done last night! 100 % recommend going to Honeycomb!!
