I love Amber and her salon because I always feel at home and relaxed while I’m there and love how I look and feel when I leave. I’m so glad I found her!

Ashley Elliott I finally found a hairstylist in Florida that I trust and I am so excited about it! I dont want anyone else touching my hair- thats how great Amber did! She did EXACTLY what I wanted and it turned out beautifully- I could not be happier with my hair

claudia gomez I had an appointment with Nicole, as soon as I arrived I was received by the owner with a smile and a cup of water, and soon after I was seated. I have to say that first, the service is five star, the environment is welcoming and friendly and Nicole assessed my hair type and advised on the best choice of haircut for my lifestyle (I don’t really have time to style it much) and hair. I’m very happy to say that ever since, I haven’t had a bad hair day! The haircut she gave me looks good even when I do nothing but air dry! I recommend for everyone ❤️

B Crypto After having multiple bad hair cuts at different salons around Jacksonville, I finally found an amazing hair stylist at San Marco Strands. Ralph, the hair stylist that I’ve been seeing there, does an absolute amazing job. He is very professional, friendly, and he really takes his time to make sure his cuts and styles are perfect. Every time he cuts my hair, it always looks like the best cut/style I’ve ever had. I will never go to another barber or hair dresser in the Jacksonville area again. On top of the great service the pricing is also unbeatable for the treatment you receive at this salon. My wife also has her hair done by him routinely and he’s does amazing work with women’s hair as well. If you are looking for a new hair stylist don’t hesitate to go to strands!! And make sure you ask for Ralph!!

Shelly Gorman Amanda has been my hairdresser for 10 years plus! I have had people I like before but never lasted more than a year because they were not consistent. Amanda is highly skilled and stays up to date with modern styles and techniques.

Samantha Allen Got my hair done by Alexus. We did some highlights & a cut. I’m so happy with the results & this was the most relaxing hair experience I’ve had. She’s very knowledgeable & made me feel comfortable. The salon is super cute & has its own parking lot. Highly recommend booking with Alexus. Will be back soon!

Shanialy Rodriguez I had come here before and they had done a good job but not this last time. I explained how I wanted just the same style but this girl messed up my hair!! It is uneven and I cant even style it anymore. She had done it well in the beginning but then wanted to take pictures and started randomly cutting it down even more on the sides and my hair ended up being completely uneven!! I have had to put my hair up since i came here, I feel so ugly now. Self-esteem never been so low. It really saddens me that I have to put this review because I had previously came here twice and it was amazing. For reference, the last picture is how my hair looked a week before. Update 2025: They never did anything after I called. I felt horrible with my hair until I decided to go to a different place. If you have curly hair or are not white, dont go here.

Claire Smith The most awesome haircut I’ve ever received. I’ve never had this experience with a haircut before. Head and hand massage during my shampoo. Stylist asked my preference and took time to explain what she was doing during my whole experience. I’ve never felt more pampered!!! Would highly recommend Ja for a relaxing, enjoyable hair experience. A wonderful gift for yourself or a loved one!

Kelly Colston I had an excellent experience at Cultivate Salon! Alexus was my stylist and she did an absolutely amazing job. She worked with me on choosing a hair cut and style that I not only love the look of, but also fit within my lifestyle and abilities to style at home. I had a significant amount of bleach damage and she also worked with me on repairing the damage and now it’s barely noticeable. She gave me great recommendations for how to take better care of my hair at home and which products would work best with my hair. I had never really had a hairstylist do that with me before and now I’m significantly more confident in my ability to style my hair at home. Overall, a great experience and I’ll definitely be going back to Alexus at Cultivate for all my hair needs!

Farlin Guzmán It was my first time there, thank God they were able to have me the same day I called to make the appointment. They were very flexible on finding a time for me to go. Ja took care of me for a hair cut and styling, she was very kind and mindful of what I was looking for in a hair cut and how I would like my hair to be styled. She also offered a scalp and hand massage which was very relaxing. She was very professional and I loved the final result. Will be coming back soon!

Leslie Bryant A wonderful place with a nice location (theres parking in back) Diane is the absolute best & just a blast to talk to while cutting & styling! She listened & knew exactly what I wanted and what would look the best! This is my new spot for sure!

Jenn Frederick Diane is incredible! She is super fast to respond, and even took me on a day that the salon is normally closed. Her skill is amazing; I have very thick curly hair and she was able to give me a completely new, AWESOME look in less than an hour, from start to finish. Finally, her personality is so fun! From the moment you meet her, she treats you like shes known you for years and is happy to see you. Highly recommended!!

Nicole H. Diane is such a wonderful hairdresser, I can’t say enough good things about her. She truly devotes her life to her clients. Also, she is a very good listener if there’s something you want her to tweak or do more or less of, she listens and knows how to do it; I’ve been going to her for several years now so I would know.She’s also great at thinking outside of the box- she’s been very creative with my daughter’s hair and my daughter loves it!

Malice Quaint spot on Oak Street. Multiple salon artists can work here. They have small little rentals. Theyre cute. My artists name was Tabitha. She was amazing. Very talkative which is nice. She told my friend and I about products we could use for our hair for health, vitality, and growth. She did my hair just like the photo I showed her and it came out great. She said I had an oval face so the haircut accentuated it. She used a heat protectant before blowdrying and straightening my hair. She also did an amazing job on my friends hair. Hes never straightened it before and it looked completely different when she finished. Ive never seen his hair look so nice in the 13 years Ive known him. She took six inches off his hair too since he had so much breakage. Would definitely come back

Allysia McFarland Lizette is an amazing stylists. My husband treated me to hair services for Valentine day and she did not disappoint. Shes very personable and speedy with the hand movements! I got a small twist out and from wash to finish it took all of 3 hours. Because of her bubbly personality the time just flew by. I would definitely recommend and she is now my new stylists for all for natural hair care needs.

Tenisha Reales Lizette has been my local stylist for over two years. She came highly recommended from a neighbor. Not only is she the ultimate professional, but she also has a heart for her clients. With her knowledgeable and careful guidance, my hair has recovered from prior damage and grown in the process. She makes the client in her chair her sole focus instead of trying unsuccessfully to multitask with multiple clients at once. She maintains a clean salon with lovely plants that add to the peaceful ambience. Besides always creating a fresh and unique look, Lizette also manages to boost my confidence and engage in meaningful conversation during our time together. She is a true blessing in my life and you will find the same!

Christiana Broughton This was my first time at Styles 2 Inspire, Lizette was absolutely wonderful to work with! She and her assistant were very sweet, respectful, professional and fun to talk to. Her shop was clean, comfortable, and inviting. The braid work is excellent and quick, I am ecstatic with the results, I love how my hair came out! I look forward to returning to her in the future!

Maryclare Krusing Phi Eco has been cutting and coloring my hair for well over a year. Carissa, the owner, is by far one of the best haircutters I have ever had as she understands hair texture and knows how to cut any type of hair but especially difficult coarse textures, long hair, and super wavy hair. She understands and performs highly effective layering which maximizes the fullness of the hair and the hair after her cuts seems to lay perfect wash after wash. Moreover, she understands the effects of the salt air and humidity on ones hair and is able to enhance the natural wave of the hair in spite of the elements. Carissa is a must see hair professional. Her entire staff is excellent. Her product line is from Italy and is incredibly gentle and effective for all hair types. The scalp massage which accompanies the hair conditioning is absolutely superb. Phi Eco is a must recommend salon.

Taylor Wenger This salon gets it! From sustainability to being super friendly and welcoming. First time in the salon this week and I will be booking again. Recently, I’ve been wanting to switch to healthy natural products and the way my hair felt after, I will be coming back to buy all the products. Especially the dry shampoo! Carissa is an amazing human and I felt like I could have chatted with her for hours!

Layla So Getting my hair cut by Lacey is always a wonderful experience! Ive been a client of theirs for a while and I always leave my appointment feeling so much better about my hair. Phi Eco has a very comfortable and inviting vibe that I appreciate so much. Ive never been this comfortable getting my hair done anywhere else.

Dill Laura (Laura Dill Art) I’ve been getting my hair done by Lacey for years because I’ve always gotten a great cut that is stylish and suits my long fine hair. (Sounds simple, but it’s not!) Recently I’ve also started using some new products she recommended and my hair is so silky soft with lovely body. I’m a huge fan! Highly recommend.

Iris Munson I really wanted to like this place after reading so many great reviews, but unfortunately I received the worst haircut I’ve ever paid for. I asked for a simple one length trim and now my hair is completely lopsided and looks like it was cut straight across with kitchen scissors. The owner was also pretty rude and did not make me or my sister feel welcome. My sister had a very friendly stylist but also did not get the cut she requested, which was curtain bangs/wispy side bangs, she received straight across bangs. To pay $150 for 2 haircuts and not get what you asked for, is really disappointing. We will not be returning.

Sharon Hartsell Carmela did a wonderful job on fixing the mess I had from previous hairdresser. My color looks fabulous, looks natural and she did an awesome job on my haircut too! Definitely my go to for hair from now on.

Practical Delites Above and beyond satisfied...from the initial phone call when I made my appointment with one of the owners, Tony, to the beautiful low lights and cut, with attention to detail from my hair stylist, Carmella. Initially when I called, it was more than refreshing to have the phone answered and not sent to voice mail. Tony took the time to ask questions about my hair texture, if I was growing out highlights or needed to update color. With his recommendation he was able to schedule me appropriately. Carmella and I talked about what I was hoping to achieve with my salon visit. She is a great listener, and creates a beautiful version of her clients. I never felt rushed, and their warm, friendly, conversation was appreciated. I am happy to say I will definitely be making another appointment. It is very apparent Hair & Color Specialists love what they do!

Sandra Boney I have been a client for about 18 years, and absolutely love everything about this Salon. Tony and Carmela, the owners, are amazing and incredibly talented. I have very thick hair which requires extra time and patience. I am also very particular about my hair and wear it straight, naturally curly or loosely curled, and I always leave with a perfect cut to allow me to do it all. Whenever I want to consider something different, cut or color, they always spend time with me discussing and provide honest feedback. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

John Biggerstaff My wife was gifted a hair appointment with Felicia. I havent seen such a beautiful style, attention to details in shortening her overall length, or such a perfect understanding and match from my wifes vision and wishes, to Felicias expertise! The locale is easy to find, parking is a little limited, and theres no real waiting thats appropriate for small children, but its a FANTASTIC salon and I hope my wife will go back to Felicia for all of her future hair needs.

Amy Richardson Clover & Woolly is a really cute, warm space with such a kind staff! Felicia is an absolute artist with both her cut and color and I am so impressed with how elegant, dimensional and beautiful my color is. This was the first time I’ve colored my hair in 10 years and I am officially obsessed!

My daughter has super thick and curly hair, and I needed a blowout and silk press done because I just didnt have the 5 and half hours in me to do it myself...I called Corasp on Friday afternoon , made an appointment for Saturday morning and was in and out before 9am! Victoria JT I got my hair washed and a layered hair cut.. Very high-end, I enjoyed a relaxing hair wash while sipping a mimosa. The hair stylist was very knowledgeable and helpful with some tips on taking care of my hair. My hair looked very healthy and taken care of afterwards As a college student, it was out my price range. For the hair wash and cut it was $190 but then they were able to lower it to $150. Due to not knowing the length and state of my hair when I set up the appointment. They weren’t able to give a price over the phone beforehand. This was my first time in years that I got a haircut. So I can’t compare the salon to others.

Juneka Roswell This salon dropped the ball. In summary, I had an afternoon appointment with the Braider. First my appointment was pushed back 1 hour, which was communicated. Then, I arrived at my appointment time, wait 30 minutes and leave. It is very disrespectful of my time to arrive more than 30 minutes late and not communicate that to the client. Another stylist offered to wash my hair while we wait. But I declined because I already waited 30 minutes and was very upset. I gave 2 stars because the salon is very clean, quiet and organized and pricing for styling is affordable.

Ty Ty Silverman Milete makes me feel at home every time I come to get my hair done. She provides excellent service from hair color, knotless braids, loc retwists to silk press. They do it all and I feel renewed and refreshed every time I leave

Jade Takada KC did my hair a couple of weeks ago and if you’re having second thoughts on coming here, DONT. I love my hair SO MUCH now. I feel so much more prettier and confident it brightened my whole face up. Before coming here I had a hair mishap and it was BLACK when I asked for a honey brown, milk chocolate brown. I got cherry cola black brown and it was not what I wanted at all before coming to hello lovely. KC LISTENED to everything I wanted and didn’t want and made sure I loved my hair!!! Brandi West I received a trim and partial color from Danielle and she is amazing!! I’ve been rocking my all natural dark brown for a year now, and needed a little color to break it up. She reached out to me and worked within my price range with no hesitation. She made me feel so comfortable, I’m not ashamed to admit I dozed off at one point! I felt so bored of my look, and she really brightened me up and made me feel like myself again. It was the first time we had met, but she treated me like I was no stranger at all. The sweetest! Not to mention the salon is super cute and clean!

Kim Morales I decided to go to this place soley based on the reviews. I absolutely loved how my hair came out. It was done by Stasia aka Stash. She did retouch on my blonde hair and tone. This has been the second time she has done it. The customer service is great. They offer drinks varying from water to alcoholic beverages. The store is very clean and stylish. I enjoyed that they sell art from local artists. I will continue to do my hair here.

Senior Prom 2022 we returned a year later for the final prom of my daughters highschool career. Just as beautiful as last years hairstyle. My girl is Ema and let’s just say i’ve never walked out of there not feeling my most confident best self. She truly works magic! Melissa Mora I went to MonCiel because I had gotten my hair done by Nikki while she was at Paul Mitchell. After she graduated she started working at MonCiel so when i decided to go from my blonde highlights to full red i of course reached back out to nikki and she set up a consultation with Alyssa so we could create a game plan to get me to my desired color. Alyssa and Paris were both so kind and immediately made me feel like we’ve known each other forever and were all about getting me my dream hair. Alyssa did amazing work after I told her i wanted to go red but didn’t want to have my hair feel fried or dead. We decided to bleach everything to get an even color all around and she made sure she kept my hair feeling and looking amazing. Kylie Cummings So I booked a standard haircut and wash , I wanted some long layers and to keep my length. Pretty standard right? My stylist was Bernette. Shes absolutely horrible my layers were choppy and one side was longer she wanted about 6 inches of my hair cut off. I said no and she did about 4 off (not much better). She kept insulting my hair saying my spilt ends were super high (I have previous layers so they were layers not my entire head) she couldnt seem to understand that. When washing my hair she had freezing water and it kept getting in my ears (granted I didnt say anything because some people say cold waters better than hot) but she only warmed it up when she had to wash the shampoo off her hands. I also wanted face framing the photo I showed had the layers starting right above her shoulders she cut them at my chin..... at the end she showed my my hair and I looked in the mirror I held in tears as I was given some 80s bangs done by a 3 year old. The other times Ive been here the ladies have been great.... just not Bernadette or whatever her name is. My mother payed so Im not sure of the exact price(I sat in the car and cried that my beautiful hair looked horrible) but it was still too much for what I got. Please of you go here dont ask for Bernadette. She also kept editing insulting me... "god you must love heat your spilt ends are crazy" was one that stuck.... I cant remember the last time I used a straightener. Please please dont make the mistake i made going.

Diane Freeman I had the best cut, color and style with Jen. I came in with drab and came out with fab! It’s almost a week later and because the cut and color were so excellently done, it still looks great- even when I style it myself! The first two pics are after and the last one is before

Theresa Jordan Ive been going to Melissa for quite some time, and she is the best! My gray was changing so I wanted her to tweak it for me. She added some silver lowlights and gave me a layered cut and I just LOVE it! Ive had so many compliments on my hair since Ive been seeing her but even more after I had this done. Melissa will listen to any concern you may have, and she informs you as she goes. I might add that the day I went into the salon happened to be the day they lost their electricity! They had ZERO lights, but she just went about business as usual and did my low lights while someone else held the phone flashlight!! :) She was still able to get these results and I am very happy with them. You will be happy with Melissa too if you give her a chance to work her magic!

Kimberly Bell Jen is amazing! They never fail to make you feel welcome and relaxed while you have your service done. I appreciate the knowledge of the staff, the atmosphere, and the results of course! It took me a while to find someone trust with my hair, as I know it does for most people so finding this salon has been a god send!

Jessica Bonenclark I never do reviews but had to because I loved this place! Start to finish was amazing. Super cozy waiting area and felt like Alexis was very knowledgeable and informative! Ive been to a few salons around town but have never felt more heard about my concerns (: Ill be back for sure

Nicole.Brook Thursday the 24th my regular hair stylist cancelled on me for the second time. I was sooo bummed and called 5 or 6 different salons before I found Cortello with an opening, so this was my first time. I was absolutely knocked out at the professionality of service and attention to detail. Alexiss knowledge of hair and how it works is absolutely outstanding and it shows. She was encouraging and complimentary as she talked me through the process, stopped to get my input, and worked her magic to make the most of my locks. She made me feel beyond comfortable while in her chair, and absolutely beautiful by the time I left it. I will be recommending everyone to your salon, and special kudos to Alexis. Thank you so much for the whole experience! I will most definitely be back!

Whisper Kind Things Went to see Abby yesterday. My first time to this salon. Very pleased from the time I walked in. Very clean and they made you feel welcomed. From the moment I sat in Abby seat she was all in with what I wanted. My hair was a wreck and she made me feel so comfortable. 4 hours later. I looked amazing. Im definitely sold. I will be back for sure. Well worth every penny in my opinion. If you have ever had doubts , trust me you wont regret it. Thanks Abby, you are amazing.

dayana gomez Omg. Alexis did my hair and it was truly such an amazing customer service. She was warm and welcoming and constantly asked if everything was okay or if I needed ANYTHING. She told me a little about herself and what she would recommend for my hair. My hair was ATROCIOUS and I’m so glad I took her advice she prioritizes the health of your hair while still trying to get you to your results. She was very real and knowledgeable. I can’t stresss how much I enjoyed my time at Cortello. It’s a very cute salon which is a plus. Alexis if you’re reading this my hair and I love you !!!
