T Sutton David has been coloring & styling my hair for quite a while. There’s no one else I trust. He now does all three of my daughters’ hair. He’s very good at what he does. He listens & offers guidance when needed because he knows how important your hair is. I highly recommend David & Backstreet Hair Designers. Everyone there is always so nice.

Nancy Cooke David at BACKSTREET has been doing my hair since 1985. WONDERFUL!!! I have sent all my friends there and everyone loves their haircut. He listens and does exactly what you want. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Heather does a great job cutting my hair. She took the time to find out exactly what I wanted, and consistently does it time and again. Her services are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend her!

Prices are reasonable and the salon is welcoming. Great location, too!

Alicia Peterson Heather, the owner of Creative Images Hair Studio, is my girl when I go there. I have short hair and she is amazing. She colors my hair, frosts the ends and cuts it beautifully, better than anyone in my past. She really styles short hair beautifully. I can always depend on it!! Thank you Heather!!

None of us had ever worked with her before but she knew how to match everyone’s makeup perfectly and was so sweet and personable. She arrived on time and did 6 peoples makeup in a timely manner and everyone was so pleased. Can’t recommend her enough!!

Diana Greggs Jessica is the BEST - Im a regular for life!! She offers great services at a exceptional prices - especially considering the area (SRQ/Bradenton) - unlike many other salons Ive tried before who basically price gouge because they know many clients living here have $$$. Shes honest & considerate of each individual clients hair type and will explain what is or is NOT doable - this is so, SOOO important - too many stylists just say yes to whatever, only to have a client leave in tears bc it doesnt look like the picture. Now theyve got damaged, over•processed hair that they spent a ridiculous amount of $$ on - this is NOT the case with Jessica - she genuinely cares about making her clients happy & feel good about their hair, all while preserving or trying to get a healthy head of hair AND scalp. If youre wanting a stylist whos got high-level skills or a salon that offers reasonable pricing, then you need to book an appointment at THIS SALON, ASAP!!! P.S.)) Her extension game is the best Ive ever seen - seriously, I have extensions & they look better than any famous celebritys do - shes IBE certified & uses only the best hair wefts & techniques!! Shes also a master at wedding up•dos & gets booked to do full bridal parties, all season long!!

Casey Twitmyer I switched from a different salon to Jessica, because the prices I was paying were no longer affordable and the stylist felt impersonal. Jessica is the best and complete opposite of my previous experiences other places! My hair has honestly never looked so good, I’m so happy with it. She matched my hair color perfectly to hide my grays and she charges fair, affordable prices. Can’t recommend her enough. Also her salon is the cutest. 10/10 Recommend.

Robin Lavender New to the area, was able to get an appointment in a short time with Michelle, who was very kind and truly listened to what I was hoping for in a cut. She met my expectations and then some!!! The salon is clean, and a pleasant place. Nicely greeted when I entered and departed. Highly recommend!!

Chelsea Bartlett I loved my stylist she was amazing, and she’s the reason I’m giving the 3 stars. In March 2024 I called this salon, and told them what I needed done to my hair, which was my hair was orange from me dying it about a year previous, i didn’t want it cut or anything (she did not cut) I just wanted my blonde restored, and color correction. They gave me a price of $200. I was okay with that, so with a $60 tip, I would be leaving spending $260, which $300 was my budget(with the tip)Which I think is reasonable for getting your hair done. I walked into the shop, for my appointment …. they looked at my hair and said okay go have a seat! We get all done with my hair , and it was such a great experience with my stylist. She did so amazing , I loved my hair and the bond we created in the process. I was excited to leave her a pretty hefty tip, as she did a splendid job and exactly what I wanted! I go to checkout and pay, and now they are telling me $267!!!!! Without tip!! So I’m stuck in a dilemma because $300 was my budget, and now I have to leave this lady only $33 tip. I had no extra money to put into this. I just think they should give you the set price like they did with me and it should stick?? The guy told me the reason was because of the color correction, but they already knew this when I discussed what I needed done, they looked at my hair and everything and didn’t say any changes. Had I known that, I would have got up more money to leave a better tip. I will not go back because I don’t want to expect to pay one thing, and it be a lot more then what I expected. If they would have just told me the actual price from the get go I would have figured it out , and not put on the spot like that. I love the stylist, and I feel bad for her because they are making her lose clients and tips (im sure) because of the same exact thing that’s happened to me.

Lorretta Bebermeyer Karen has done a great job on my hair!! She fixed my haircut after a terrible haircut from another salon. She put partial highlights in my hair and is now doing my root touch ups every month. My hair is healthier now than it has been in a long time. I would highly recommend Karen!

colette oreilly Brandi is a great stylist who always does an exception job on my hard to manage hair. She has done my daughters hair before prom and other special occasions and we are always more than pleased with everything she does from cuts to colors and styling.

Brenda Guzman I started coming here when I moved and the prices were awesome! I stuck with one hair stylist and she was great one day I asked to do my eyebrows and she completely messed them up . I wasn’t rude I was still willing to pay for them but I just told her I didn’t like them and it’s fine she caught a whole attitude snatching my card and every time I walk in she ask one of the other girls to take care of me . She was a great hair stylist I just didn’t want her to do my eyebrows and I didn’t appreciate her attitude at all . Just wish she was more nice . Thank you!

Lisa I took a longshot and texted the salons owner to see if she had any time in the next day or two to correct my color that I had done at another salon last week. Pam was able to get me in the same day (cancelation) and not only did she fix the color, but she did it quickly and PERFECTLY! I am so impressed by her and her ability to correct my awful orange/brassy hair in such a short time. Ive read that some places charge upwards of $200, but Pam was extremely reasonable. I am so impressed that I have already booked a root lift for 6 weeks out! Thank you, Pam! Youre my miracle worker and my favorite new person!! See the before picture - I had to keep it up in a ponytail after spending 6.5 hours total in the OTHER salon to get it right! My after picture reflects just how happy I am with the new color. Amazing!!!

Racha nee This place is super friendly and I was a last minute call in appointment. Pam was super friendly and professional as well as the rest of the staff there. She did nice job cutting my hair and made sure it was to my liking. The price was very reasonable too. The other lady who works with her there made sure I got to my car safely since it was later in the day. I thought that was very nice and excellent personal service. Above and beyond what is expected for a hair salon. Ill be going back again.

Layah Yasharahla My first time visiting the salon some years ago , I had a very pleasant experience . The person who did my hair (Loretta) was very professional , the place was clean and the few stylist I met , were very nice . However , this time around , was the complete opposite . The same young lady who did my hair the first time , had been advertising that she sold hair bundles , after seeing a picture of a custom colored sew in she did , I booked an appointment . I then texted her and asked if she had saw that I even scheduled an appointment (as two whole days went by without a confirmation ). She finally told me that I needed to leave a deposit first . She did not tell me how, after a few messages and a day later , she told me cash or PayPal . I sent her my email to invoice me , since she did even send me her email so I could pay . Later, I told her I would be getting the bundles from her and sent a few messages on what style I was thinking of getting (since she never even asked ), she then told me two days wasn’t enough time for her to color the bundles . Because of that , I had to scramble to find a new style and hair , I then had to ask her what type of hair could she or did she like to work with , she told me . Long story short , instead of the stylist who is the professional , inquiring about what style I was getting and telling me what hair and how much to bring , It took a week if back and forth and me always having to message first , to figure out what I needed to bring . It all ended when we then had a misunderstanding over hair washing , I’m accustomed to a salon washing every customers hair before servicing it . She said they did not and I was fine with that , one message led to another and we decided it would be best if we didn’t go ahead with the appt . That was unfortunate . What’s even worse is that talking to “Dee” about doing my child’s hair , she completely ignored my message asking for her styleseat information so I could book an appointment , and when I followed up some hours later - politely telling her that if she couldn’t do my daughters hair just let me know - she replied “ok”. This is well before anything happened with the other stylist and I . Bottom line is , the place is nice , unfortunately - their so used to their normal clients , that new clients such as I , are treated indifferently .

DARK ONE This place is wonderful, an extremely clean salon and very professional. They do it all no matter what type of hair you have, theres a stylist that can do it. My stylist Loretta is fantastic and trendy always up on the newest stuff. Theres also a barber in named Nate he cuts my sons hair very well. Im always pleased and impressed when I leave KDS.

Jackie Scott It seemed to be a very clean place. The conversation was not bad, When I left my hair cut didn’t look bad, cause I chalked it up to it being styled different than I would do. But this morning when I got up and washed my hair to fix it for the day, it was very choppy, the layers were cut horribly. This is one of the worse hair cuts I have ever received. I will not be going back there and now I have to have it cut much shorter just to fix what has been done to my hair.

Connie Troy Old, tired hair stylists work at this salon. No one ever greets you when you walk in. I went to Wendy for awhile. She could never get it right what I wanted done. She never wrote my formula down. After the hurricane t for my appointment and it was closed. She never texted me. Said she didn’t have my info. Duh?!?
