Anika Higgins This was my first time here yesterday to get my eyebrows done after a 12 hour shift. The worker Sara took me to the back she had immediately locked the front door. I was confused on why she did that because my service was already paid for with Groupon in which I told her over the phone when I book my appointment, it just really rubbed me the wrong way since I am person of color and I never experienced a salon do that even working by themselves. Once we was done she demanded I tip her because “she works based on tips” that is what she told me, she never asked me. This is NOT the way to conduct a business, literally to lock a customer inside a salon and demanded a tip was disgusting behavior. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else who visits this establishment!

Summer Abdelmottlib I came in today to see Rikki to help me with another stylist’s work that I had done last week. I came in asking for her professional opinion as I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the previous stylist’s work. Rikki gave me her evaluation and walked me through everything we needed to do to get it to the look I was hoping to attain. She gave me the price before hand which is nice. A lot of salons just surprise you at the end. Two hours of work and I was left with beautiful, blended hair. It felt and looked so much better than I came in. I felt very comfortable with Rikki and felt like she wasn’t just rushing through the appointment. It felt like she took all the right steps to get my hair looking great. Will be coming back to see her again. Highly recommend this salon.

Sarah Leiva HK salon is a great addition to downtown Hollywood. It has a beautiful chic interior design and a very chill and welcoming vibe. I’ve been going to Teresa a few years now and no longer trust anyone else with my color. I was traveling out of state and hadn’t seen her in a while, but came in with an idea of what I’d like for my color which was really grown out and she achieved EXACTLY what I had envisioned! She also gave me an amazing dry curly cut and is well versed in curly/textured hair. I highly recommend booking with her, you won’t be disappointed.

Karen Forkosh Teresa is the best. I have long curly hair and she’s the only one who knows how to cut and layer it the right way. She also blows out my hair beautifully.

Andrea Apa I had an amazing experience getting my eyebrows shaded! Gean was professional, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand the look I wanted and delivered perfectly shaped, natural-looking brows. The shading is even, soft, and enhances my features beautifully. I’m beyond happy with the results and highly recommend Gean for anyone looking for expert eyebrow shading!

Diana Garle I am hooked! I came to get my lashes done for my birthday last year in June and have been coming monthly ever since. Not only is the space and ambience super relaxing, my lashes are GORGEOUS and look super natural. Her technique is good that my regular lashes are never compromised and remain healthy and full!! Not to mention that the sessions last me a full four weeks before I start to see them really needing a touch up. I’ve sent many friends here and will continue to!

Rosemary I’ve know this salon since 2020 just only doing my eyebrows. My mother asked where I did them because she loves them. Now she comes all time here and also does eyelashes. When I saw my mother’s eyelashes is when I did them as well. I love my eyelashes now since they’re not heavy on the eyes nor poke in my eyeballs! (I’ve done them before from other salons and have had bad experience which is why I was hesitant). Her eyelashes are light and soft, great quality! Now we both come here all the time. Geraldine takes her time to ensure each eyelash is to perfection. So expect to be on the bed for a while, she does not rush her service. She educates her clients in how well to take care of your eyelashes. She also works with you to help you with your eyebrows and what to do if they were uneven when you first come in from another salons job. Overall her care, patience and education is all worth well the service. Thank you!

Heather Dailey I was referred to DA Hair Studio because my hair needed some serious TLC and my regular stylist retired. Well, I am so glad to have found my hair and scalp doctor; Dee is a true professional with serious skills. She made sure I understood everything she was recommending and brought my hair back to life. She also made sure I didn’t get a service that would further damage my hair; she educated me. Never have I had a scalp treatment, but Dee added it because, as I now understand, healthy hair starts from within and at the scalp. Wow, who knew how amazing a scalp treatment would feel. Though it is intended to help the scalp and hair, especially as my hair is starting to thin around my forehead and temples, I felt tension easing from my head to my ankles. To end this awesome appointment, I left with hair that looked fresh, healthy, nourished and beautiful. She added dimension to my long hair through amazing layers with so much weight being lifted, and instead of additional damage though highlights, she did a treatment and glazing, which totally helped my existing colors to be toned, yet pop in a very natural looking way. Definitely exceeded expectations; it was an amazing experience. Needless to say, my next appointment is booked. The search for a new stylist, or should I say “hair doctor”, is over. Thank you, Dr. Dee!

Daryn James Last minute decision to go to Tina’s and was pleasantly surprised. We had a Christmas party to attend the next day but due to the season most ppl were booked. Called Tina’s thinking she was going say no openings , especially for 2 girls. She said to come they can do it! We came in a a team of ladies took them to wash and then when a seat came available they started hair right away. Both my daughter’s hair looked amazing! they were so happy!! Toni M. Yovanna works magic! I’m beyond happy with the cut and dye I received a few weeks ago. I’ve never dyed my hair outside of the brown honey-brown and blonde tones, so I was a little uncertain coming into things. Yovanna helped me decide on what two shades of red might suit me and while I originally asked for a certain dye style, she suggested another (due to the kind of cut I wanted, showed me pictures, and voilà!). And while the color has faded slightly, I’m still pretty happy with what it’s turned into! As for the cut, just spectacular. I handed her a reference photo and she was able to replicate it with a few tiny adjustments to better accommodate my face shape and curl pattern and here we are! Pricing was fair and the salon itself was in great shape. The staff are all so friendly and really made me feel welcomed and as beautiful as can be walking out of there! Definitely would return. Update: Went back for a more vibrant color and of course Yovanna did a great job once again!

Nelen Giles Services were basic nothing to brag about. The one thing that was great were their prices. I can definitely see why she’s always busy especially with inflation today. Nothing about my experience stood out. The ladies in there hardly smiled or spoke not to mention it was hot in there. I won’t be going back, I don’t care if they only charge 2cents. Don’t let those 4+ stars fool you!

Summer Abdelmottlib Monique, the hairdresser, is the real rockstar here. I visited her today for the first time for a haircut, and the experience was fantastic. Parking was very easy to find, and it’s a quick drive if you live in Hollywood, which is super convenient. During the consultation, she took the time to go through everything I was looking for, repeating my ideas back to me to ensure she understood exactly what I wanted. It was so reassuring to feel truly heard. The wash was amazing. Relaxing and thorough, and the haircut turned out exactly as I had imagined. She nailed every detail I asked for and even thoughtfully suggested taking another half-inch off the back, which I appreciated. I felt so comfortable with Monique and could tell she genuinely cared about me and my hair. I’ll definitely be coming back and look forward to continuing my hair journey with her. Every step of the perm, from the haircut to applying the curling rods, was done with such great care. They also stock imported-from-Korea hair products that are a must-get! Sang, the owner was super thorough and attentive while cutting my hair, correcting the mistakes I made cutting my own hair. Despite the slight language barrier, she did an outstanding job. I want to start out with Anna she is professional, respectful, kind and welcoming to new and old customers. When she answers the phone she already makes you feel welcome through the phone. I had the opportunity for her to do my waxing and gel manicure and I have not returned back to my old nail salon. She does a magnificent job. The let’s talk about Antonio the owner he is laid back and kool as a cucumber. Super nice and helpful! He is not only a hairdresser; he is also a makeup artist. I was traveling to go to my cousins wedding in Canada and was not sure how to contour and he took his own time to help me know and show me how to contour. He does host professional makeup classes. He used to do the makeup for the beauty pageant contestants back in South America. Last, but not least Nelly introduced me to tape extension and did a phenomenal job of placing them in my air. There is no way you would think the hair on my head is not growing out of my scalp. She is well versed with over 15 years of experience with this trend. I am telling you I am telling you all three of these people are worth you’re visit and money. Yes, they are a little more than the average place but it is worth every penny you spend on your nails, hair and makeup. You will not leave disappointed but be thrilled and over joyed.
