After careful consideration, the administration of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has decided to cease operations at our Whidbey Island Site in Oak Harbor, WA. This was a difficult decision and one that was not taken lightly. All essential personnel have been notified of this decision, and the Whidbey Island Site will close effective March 1, 2025.
At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, your student experience is important to us. While we realize this closure may create some inconvenience, it is our intent to ensure you are afforded ample opportunity to take your coursework in as many modalities as possible. You will remain enrolled in your current degree program, and your progress toward degree completion should not be significantly impacted. All Embry-Riddle course modalities, Eagle Vision Classroom, Eagle Vision Home, and Online, will continue to be available. As well, federal student financial aid will not be affected by the change.
Your current Academic Advisor will not change. Students may continue to register for Eagle Vision Classroom courses onsite at the Seattle, WA site (see address below). Please contact your advisor for course offerings at this location.

Student Success – Worldwide Campus" Seattle Pacific University - Seattle Imani -: not only is this school cutting out many majors but they’re not letting students finish their degree’s, and have yet to explain why we are unable to finish them. This is leaving many students flustered with no where to turn, we haven’t heard back how much longer they will allow us to study here under our intended majors with very little time to apply for Fall classes at any other university. highly unprofessional on the dean and board of trustees behalf. i would not recommend to ANY future students you never know how much longer your major will last at this school. 0/5 Seattle University - Seattle Hanny Nikawa: I dont understand the housing rule, if you live near Campus you should be automatically exempt from campus housing, but no. You have to apply for exemption and take few weeks for housing committee to decide. What a waist of time.
