4 /5 Helios Lochlainn: Im a freshman undergrad just starting out at WSUV. I love the vibes, the campus is pretty, and the professors are great (sometimes they do misunderstand questions; were all human here), and I love the availability of nature views and trails. Im a druid (AKA animism, so everything is important and everything has a soul) and love the availability of my lifeblood friend nature. I am floating on scholarships and part-time work, because I cant afford $10,000 a year and my parents are still paying off their own loans from college, and I refuse to take out any loans whatsoever. So far, so good. My main two complaints are nerdy things...but I dont like that the Vancouver campus only offers Spanish for language courses (Id like to have French & German at least, if not Russian, Italian, etc.) and there is no music class or choir or vocal performing class or club. Im in the process of attempting to start a club but everyone is busy and I dont know any professors or staff to oversee the club so Im at a bit of a standstill. Hopefully next semester that can happen. I love the Student Diversity Center, especially being a druid (and self-proclaimed "witch", which literally just means I manipulate the energies around me to help people and make peoples lives hopefully happier and less stressful), because the people are very open and accepting and its a judgment-free zone. The LGBT+ community, the people of color, people of all kinds of religious and social backgrounds, everyone is welcome. Its a great place to relax and de-stress, though for the distractible types (like me) not a great place to study. I finished a (fiction) story in the SDC and would love to spend more time there when my schedule allows. :)
