Angelo State University - San AngeloNischaya Mathema: Angelo State University is one of the best small university in U.S. I have heard many positive opinion about this university. It will be amazing working together and establish good relationship between Xavier Academy, Nepal and Angelo State University. It was a great learning experience talking with Edwin.
Austin Community College - Round Rock Campus - Round Rocki x: Academic advising WILL NOT answer the phone under any circumstances. They just won’t do it. Good luck getting anything organized without their help. This entire school is a dumpster fire.
South University, Austin - Round RockScott James: This school has great classes and programs to chose from, however the financial aid department is pretty much worthless... You never get your aid when youre supposed to, and when you inquire within the department about it, all you get is the run around... you should have it by this day... well its should be this day actually... well its out of our hands now... blah blah blah... every quarter. And every quarter they get a new "system" which gives them excuses for not having answers about your funds... its a joke dealing with the staff of this university.
The University of Texas Permian Basin - OdessaShawn Caradine: I realized there is a cap for how much a loan company can cover costs, at least for the summer semesters.
I had an initial balance around 7k that later ramped to about 10k. My loan company wanted to pay the entirety but only ended up disbursing the 7k.
It took forever to speak with the right person in Financial Aid to explain to me the situation. It gets. sketchy when you personally have to pay off your remaining student balance but can’t.
Besides this information, the school is fine.
Midland College - MidlandShae Prater: I very very very strongly recommend going to Odessa college instead of Midland College. It has taken me almost 4 years to complete a two year pre-rec course because I am having to miss two whole semesters equaling an entire year because of a mistake that the college made a book that was supposed to come out of my financial aid. I didn’t get charged for until an entire semester After the semester. I got the book in after I had already enrolled in another semester even they bring it up and say that it was never taken out a financial aid like it was supposed to be leaving that on the cashier or financial aid departments fault instead I got charged $600 for it being a single mother of two struggling as it is to even get back into school. I’m going to have to take another semester off because this whole just came back up after I was told it was removed after I went through this battle with them just a couple months ago comes time to register for classes again it’s back on my account. Don’t go to the school on top of that the lady at the cashier’s office hung up on me and was super rude to me
