Houston Community College - Northeast Campus - Houston Glenji B.A.: The staff is so rude!! I went there because my sister wanted to get some information. Firstly, Im not sure why do they wanted my sisters social security just to give us information. Also, why does she need to register to get information regarding the careers that the college offered. Its so stupid! Ive never seen such a horrible treatment to freshman in my 4 years of college! Duncan College - Houston S. Jabbie: I’ve never met students as nice as those at Rice University. The students are always ready to give a hand even if you were not asking! Houston Community College - District Office - Houston Arren Burkhardt: Worst customer service I have ever in my life experienced. Since day one they have been un-knowledgeable, rude, self righteous, and not willing to help in any way. This is my first year attending college and it has been hell to say the least. I was told I had to test, and then after taking the placement tests was told I didnt have to, so I wasted time and money away from work. Was told that the office stayed open for financial aide and the website even displayed it as such, only to drive all the way out there and find out it was closed. Ive had multiple reps in all aspects tell me one thing only to have another rep tell me another. I was told I was awarded grant money, only to have it lowered two weeks before school started, and my classes dropped when they told me I just had to attend and it would pull from my grant once I was shown as present... Seriously what is wrong with this staff? Obviously they only want to receive an easy paycheck. Let me also be clear and state that I did everything proactively and actively followed up to make sure everything was in order in a very polite manner only to have everything fall apart because of their poor guidance right before I have to attend class. If they didnt offer a fashion design program or if i had better options I would NOT have chosen this school. They dont even deserve the one star i am obligated to offer for this review. All staff needs to be reevaluated and find people who want to actually help kids go to college. Ive had to struggle for 7 years just to get here and I wont let this college ruin my progress. I filed a formal complain with the Board of Education, lets hope they investigate and find this school to be what it is. A joke. Thanks for nothing. UHD College of Public Service - Houston Œ: I was sitting outside charging my phone and was a non student (to no one’s knowledge because I wasn’t even asked if I was a student) and a woman security guard approached me and told me I’m not allowed to sit on the ground and have to stand or use the chair, since I’m charging my phone. I said that wasn’t a problem. I come the next day(today) to sit on the chair outside and charge my phone and the same security guard comes up and tells me I’m not allowed to be here since I’m not a student. But that it was okay for me to charge my phone for a little while. I said wasn’t it not an issue yesterday? She said it was but she allowed it. All she told me was I’m not allowed to sit on the ground. That same day another security guard came out and started asking me if I needed money and saying he’s seen me around here. He said nothing about me sitting here. Today, I look around the outside area where there is another person sitting and I ask if they’re a student and why they’re allowed here and not me. (He’s a man I’m a woman) she said because he’s not hanging out here. I had just arrived not even a few minutes ago and she was reporting to someone of my whereabouts. I didn’t know it’s policy that I’m not allowed to sit on the ground, or not allowed to be a potential student and have access to an outside seating area. That’s not the point though. It’s that she constantly spoke over me and had me looking stupid by showing up thinking it wasn’t a problem only to be told the man has a right to be here over me.
No where does it say “no trespassing” or “no non-students.” If I would have lied and said I was a student it wouldn’t be an issue, would it? Regardless, she came up to me with the assumption that I wasn’t a student and told me it’s policy I have to stand or sit on a seat. Then came back to tell me I can’t be here. She said she’ll allow me to charge my phone, but the other guys just chillin here and it’s no issue because and I quote “I did not see him here yesterday, did you?” she asks.
