4 /5 Victoria D: I don’t know why this school has a bad wrap! Like any school, if you don’t apply yourself you are setting yourself up for failure. It’s hard, the reading is hard, but the teachers here are very understanding and will help you in any way. We have access through canvas to ask questions at any given time to our teachers! I don’t know who said obtaining a nursing degree was easy but if you aren’t applying yourself and reading and breaking down material in a way you can understand it’s going to be rough.
Advice for new nursing students:
Do research on study habits before attending the school. Make a game plan, test your reading comprehension, test your critical thinking skills in your daily life. It might be a year or half a year which ever full or part time class you are in but it’s going to be worth it.
Read and read again and have confidence. We are going to be taking care of very sick people and patients who have a lot of mental hurt going on, be your best and do your best. I also Recommend being a CNA first or a tech before starting nursing school to see if you like face paced environments.
You can do it. Be tough. You CAN DO IT.
