Texas Online Preparatory School - Edu (TX)

5 /5 K-Leigh: My kids went to online school through TOPS for 5th grade and 10th grade during the pandemic/social distancing time. They’re now back in regular public schools and we’re on track/didn’t fall behind in their studies. It’s a great school system and they have a challenging/engaging curriculum. The only thing I think they could improve on is adding more Gifted/Talented meeting times and more activities for those students in elementary. The high school program should add more social activities for kids now that there isn’t as much of a need to practice isolation/social distancing. They may have already done that in the past year. The online high school program prepared my oldest child well for college and his classes that are now somewhat of a hybrid of meeting in class and online / submitting work through an online portal. I’m glad that I enrolled my kids in TOPS.

4 /5 asdf dfgh: Pros: Great Teachers, Amazing Curriculum, Online format does not take away from the ability of students to socialize with each other, No bullying, Students and teachers are respectful of each other. Due dates for assignments are very flexible. Cons: Work Load is almost unbearable. There are at least 1 if not more homework for each class every single day. Some of the teachers just cant teach, and its hard to get a hold of teachers fast.

5 /5 Alanis Elizabeth “liz”: No issues. It took a bit to get used to but we loved it so much my son is enrolled for the following school year (5th). He was put in GT and is doing advanced classes next year. The way the school is set up gave my son an opportunity to really learn and understand and not just memorize.
