5 /5 surls mia: Went here 15 years ago and studied English. I loved my life at Simpson, the English Department (gone now except for one professor) and the spiritual growth as well as the community and was happy to drive my sister down to attend 15 years later. The campus is showing age in some areas. The dorms needed to be repainted in the actual rooms and outside, the walls were beat up, but the feel is the same. Everyone is friendly, it feels safe, the classrooms appear well kept, the grounds are beautiful.
I do wish my department remained. Honestly, I wouldnt have gone there if they hadnt had English 15 years ago. Probably would have went to Masters instead. Im glad they had it back then and I got a quality, well rounded education with multiple view points in Literary Theory, which I havent seen in my friends that were English majors from public colleges and universities.
