5 /5 Tyler Bingham: Its a joy to visit the Moody. Their spaces are filled with provocative installations, 2-D & 3-D pieces, and video. Their choices of art pieces (and artists) regularly blow my hair back (think Maxell Commercial), and get my mind working in unexpected directions. The interior of the building is filled with all kinds of contemporary nuggets! Its a personal space, no crowds, amble room to breathe & visually explore.

5 /5 Jon L Albee: Before you visit here, you must consider this important point: While this site IS a museum to a certain extent, it is first and foremost a place of learning. This is an art school, populated with students, teachers and professors whos first occupation is not customer service. Theyre here NOT primarily to serve the public as much as to serve the University. If you keep that in perspective you may enjoy your visit, but if youre going to nit-pick the service quality, or if you come here with a chip on your shoulder about the students, faculty and staff, there are better places in Houston to see. An art school where the community is intentionally allowed to experiment and nurture developing skills may not be for you. The things on display here are a nice combination of student work, faculty work, and exhibits from outside. The building itself is wonderful. If youre on campus, take some time to explore some of the outdoor art pieces that are scattered around.

San Jacinto College - District Office - Pasadena Michael Rangel: I am extremely disappointed. I have been trying to get my application to enroll done for the last 2 1/2 months going on three. I submitted everything that was required and it has taken them this long just to get my High School Transcript to financial aid to be approved. There’s nobody that you can speak to there’s no way to speed up this process. The overall process to get a student enrolled gets a one star. There has to be a better system. There is absolutely no reason someone should have to wait months to pursue their education. San Jacinto College needs to do better.

San Jacinto College North Campus - Houston lili: I had a virtual appointment with Barron Acenet. We had problems with signal but I did show her my ID. She said to leave the meeting and sign in again. So I did that. But I was not able to connect with her again. So I received a message from her saying " that we already lost time and I need to make another appointment". That easy for them to not do their job. It was an appointment for 30 mins and we lost 10 mins not a reason to cancel. Also I was hearing and seeing her very well. It was her who was saying that she couldnt see me or hear me well. I just needed to get help to register from a class that was all that wouldnt take too much time for them to do it. She event try to call me to do it by phone how other times advisors did when there is problems with signal. So I went in person that way there were no issues with " signal " but they take at least one to two hours to get with them. No matter there are not too many students waiting. My son is about to graduate this year from high School. We received some emails from San Jac to get enrolled with them. But of course not that not going to happen after these issues with that college and that experience with that advisor. He has taken dual credit with Lone Star College, also talked to advisors over there and we have never had any issues in two years with Lone Star College. The wait time is longer just to talk with advisors. I recommend Lone Start College

San Jacinto College South - Houston christian torres: The staff here are incredibly unhelpful, particularly in admissions, financial aid, and the Center for Career Development. Over the past few weeks, I was kicked out of a class I had already paid for without any warning because the campus canceled it. I asked questions about why it was canceled and about getting a refund, but I received no response. The cancellation notice was sent just three days before the semester started, leaving no time to pick another class. Worse, all communication was sent only to the San Jac email. If you didn’t check or authenticate your email over winter break, you wouldn’t even know your class was canceled. They only sent a notice to personal emails the day before classes began, which makes no sense. On top of that, no one answers the phone in admissions, financial aid, or student success. When you visit in person, the response is often, "No one is in the office right now," even though the office is open (I came at 5 p.m., and they close at 6 p.m.). If you do get help in person, they just hand you a sticky note with instructions on how to do it yourself at home. If the staff refuses to help in person, why not at least answer phone calls and respond to inquiries? It’s frustrating and a huge waste of students’ time and energy. We also have livelihoods, jobs, kids etc stop wasting our time when we pay to come here.
