Richmond field station - RichmondSina Naeimi: This is campus affiliated with UC Berkeley. So moat probably you are reading bc you want to go there and have no idea about the place. Here are a few points:
1- the place is remote. You need a vehicle. A car is the best thing. You will have tons of free parking and EV charger inside.
Bicycles and scooter help you too. You can definitely walk there too, but it won’t be a pleasant path. If you are riding your bicycle, you can use the Bay Trail. There is an-almost-hidden door to the facility from the Bay Trail. Have fun discovering it. You will need your activated UC Berkeley OneCard for entering through that door though.
2- There is no food place inside or around the facility. Bring your own food or use any food delivery app. There is a cafeteria inside, but it’s not operational at the time of writing this comment.
3. The doors are open only between 7 am to 6 pm. After hour accessing is through another door. Again, you need an activate UC Berkeley OneCard.
4. The pavement around the outside of the facility sucks. Be cautious with potholes.
5. If you are going to work for a prolonged amount of time there, you may feel isolated. This is not a busy, vibrant campus.
6. There are warnings required by the state of California saying that you should not eat anything grown from the ground or hunt and eat any animal living there bc of some sort of possible contamination on the soil. There are many wild turkeys living and flourishing in the facility and the area around there. Do NOT hunt them. However, they are not law abiding creatures and may follow and haunt you id you get close to their male one. Be careful. There are some geese around too sometime. They are cool. Be friends with them.
St David Preschool - Richmondkaciebell86: The best pre-school in the bay. After looking everywhere I landed upon Saint David preschool and I am so thankful. This school and teachers are so dedicated and nurturing. My son had never had a babysitter or been a part from us and they hugged him and made him feel right at home and safe. Also very affordable, we could not be happier!
El Nuevo Mundo | ICRI - RichmondRachel Townsend: A wonderful enriching bilingual preschool program. My son speaks Spanish very well and loves to go to school every day!
East Bay Center-Performing Arts - RichmondMario Mendoza: My two girls went through the diploma program and they were taught not only music but received exposure to world-class performing arts -- ballet, spoken word, steel drum, african and mexican dance, acting, singing. And all they ask was the commitment. This is a truly amazing place.
Pangea Education - RichmondJaime Young: We loved Pangea! Our child participated in the summer camp sessions and thrived. She came home excited about nature, hiking, and the outdoors. Every day was a good day for her. Joy and the teachers are gentle, nurturing, and trustworthy. The convenience and flexibility of the program were huge pluses as well. I would not hesitate to send my child back again next summer.
