University of North Georgia - Dahlonega Campus - Dahlonega Amanda Trickel: I’m a 2 time alumni of this excellent institution - 2018 and 2020. I throughly enjoyed my academic and student life experience. There’s Greek life, a TON of clubs, events and sports for people to get involved in and meet people. The professors, TAs and advisors are here for the students and I appreciated the smaller classes. The campus is easy to get around, the town of dahlonega is cute and a lot to do with the stores and restaurants. They’re keeping the campus exterior and interior up to date and looking new! I’m always happy to come back! Lumpkin Head Start / Pre-K - Dahlonega Mira Grizzle: To whom it may concern,
For the school year 2023 & 2024, I went into this Pre K today on 07/24/2023.
Unfortunately I was not greeted with a warm welcome, I felt that my presence was very hindering to the lady whom I spoke to about getting an appointment, being that I needed to enroll my child into the school and, however I work nights. My family and I had just moved here from The North.
I am commenting to write and say that I do not appreciate the meet and greet at the door, nor the lack of information I was provided with.
This is a pre-K, not a high school. I should have not had to feel like this. Unfortunately this is the only pre-K in this town of Dahlonega GA. very rude, very unprofessional. I am not one to complain at all, but that was not okay.
I began introducing myself, why I was there, and where I was from. The lack of information or knowledge was very inappropriate . The Little Village Montessori School - Dahlonega Chas Lemley: Our two daughters have both attended The Little Village Montessori School. I have only positive things to say about this school. We were new to the Montessori method, but have been impressed with the results. The teachers at TLVM create a warm and welcoming environment.
Our kids feel supported to explore the subjects they find interesting. As a recent example, our four year old daughter brought a book she had chosen from the local library to school about volcanoes. The rest of the week she came home and told us about what she had learned that day about volcanoes. On Friday, she came home with a small clay volcano she had molded and painted. That was so awesome to us, almost like magic :).
Our oldest daughter has since entered the local public school here in second grade and has performed at a high level. We really love TLVM and the wonderful women behind this special school.
