5 /5 Nicky F.: Beautiful new building. Everything was very well thought out when being built. And it all stays very clean which surprised me with having so many students living there.
Homer A. Plessy Community School - New OrleansKitten Plays!: I was a student who went to McDonogh 15 as a child, before and after Katrina, though I know the historical importance of the Plessy schools name I feel it important to note that the new school building the school has been moved in to has historical importance as it was built before the civil war, as a history buff I would like to hope that the building itself will not go through any physical outside change because of the historical significance. And if outside physical changes are made I will petition for them to be reversed as to keep the historical school alive, many of John McDonoghs school have already been changed and I feel like 15 should be the one too keep the way it is as it is in the historical French Quarter.
Esperanza Academy Middle School - New OrleansJavetta Brogan: Lafayette Middle School is a fantastic school that provides a learning experience that enhances the growth of every student regardless of their short comings. It also offers a wholesome
environment that stimulate the mind both academically and socially.
Ecole Bilingue De La Nouvelle-Orléans - New OrleansOmote Ekwotafia-Thélin: My daughter has not been at this school for a few years, but I still think fondly of it! EB offers a quality education and encourages critical thinking. Beyond that, the lunch options are amazing and their administration is organized in such a way that I can trust that they know what they are doing. When organization is done well it is easily missed, but it is so critical. When the pandemic hit, I was SO thankful we were at EB, because their response was immediate and thoughtful. Finally, every school could stand to be more diverse, but I appreciate that they know that and believe they make genuine efforts to increase diversity. If we were to move back to New Orleans, I would definitely return to EB!
