Ithaca School Superintendent - Ithaca Tae_012: Superintendent is not doing his job making sure bus drivers are coming to work to make sure our kids are getting to and from school on time because bus driver calling off .our kids late going to school and getting home late Im talking extremely late not a few minutes late hours late we need to sue the district for lack of education for our children UCNS - A parent cooperative nursery school - Ithaca Peggy Tully: The most nurturing preschool around. Play based and child centered; we have had the best experience here and would recommend UCNS to anyone who believes that children learn through play and who value social experience at this age. Ellis Hollow Nature School - Ithaca Mandy Beem-Miller: Our daughter has been so lucky to attend EHNS for the past two years. The new outdoor classroom is magical and the teachers are incredible. I recommend this program to any family looking for a preschool. Namaste Montessori School - Ithaca Aubryn Sidle: Namaste is an incredible place to nurture young minds--with some of the most talented teaching staff we have ever encountered. Two of our three children have gone through their primary classroom and we look forward to sending the 3rd! The Learning Farm - Ithaca Elizabeth Juaniza: Absolutely adore the Learning Farm! This summer camp is so warm and enriching, you can feel the love from this special place!! ACORN Nature School - Ithaca G H: I cannot recommend Acorn enough! First of all, the team of educators is outstanding: caring, thoughtful, supportive, and resourceful. Emily is a literal kid-whisperer, Sophie is a well of empathy and knowledge and the whole staff at Acorn is just harmonious and guides the children with a gentle but clear approach.
The physical environment is also magical and unique, with a wealth of different outdoor spaces for kids to explore and learn about themselves, the world, and how to be with other kids. The indoor space is custom built, beautiful, and designed to encourage play, craft, and curiosity.
My three-year old has been happier at Acorn than anywhere he went before. The team supported him through his difficult transition from his previous preschool, and now he comes home daily with "ten thousand thumbs up for school".
Finally, Emily also communicates very clearly and openly with parents about everything, which is huge to us. I honestly feel that Acorn is not just a preschool, but a true partner in helping raise our child.
