Palomar College - San Marcos Janel Pickering: I felt it right to add a review because of my experience. I attended Palomar College last year via the Rising Scholars program. And the experience was more than I could have ever asked for. These people genuinely do give you the impression that they really care about your individual success. First of all I noted that everyone who worked for the program was extremely kind and helpful. But personally, I have the most experience going through Joe who works for the Rising Scholars department. He is the staff member who originally signed me up. He really went out of his way to help at every turn possible. He was there every step of the way and honestly i likely would have given up had it not been for him. After some time I noticed that he didnt only do this for me, but he did this same thing for everyone who walked in through his door. Going above and beyond to help everyone succeed. When I first started attending I wondered to myself why he always had a long line of students waiting for him in particular. But I quickly learned the answer to that question. Its because he whole heartedly and genuinly cares about each and every student. The guy stays swamped with work and still goes above and beyond on every student that he enrolls. If all of Palomar staff are as caring and helpful as him then I can see this college helping to change the lives of thousands of people. University of California San Francisco Parnassus Campus - San Francisco Justin-Wade Mitchell: Always the best health care available. World class health care provider with cutting edge, leading technology and the most up to date diagnostic and treatment services. The staff are always courteous, professional, helpful, and friendly. I have been here a dozen times, over the past 30 years, for myself as well as, for friends and family. I couldnt have asked for better care. A truly remarkable institute. University of San Francisco - San Francisco Simileoluwa Adebajo: I graduated from the Masters of Science in International and Development Economics program in 2018 with a GPA of 3.76. You will most likely get a good education here and the campus is pretty but as a person of color, be warned that the school has an issue with racism and discrimination (especially with some of the older professors and staff and foreign professors) and is facing a financial and existential crisis as an institution due to the university’s inability to increase its enrollment, revenue, diversify its administration and evolve with the times. University of San Francisco - San Francisco Steviejr: Beautiful steep campus, nice to walk around and some incredible views of the city. If you go behind the building at the top of the university there is a very tranquil spot to go and hangout at. As well as many other views if you are walking around the top of the campus. I recently visited USF on an informal walking tour. I was immediately struck by how beautiful the campus was and the surrounding neighborhood very nice (I had no idea!)
There are some really gorgeous structures on campus and its located in the middle of a neighborhood, but doesnt overwhelm it, nor detract from it.
When I visited, it was very warm and there were lots of students enjoying the outdoors. I was particularly glad to see an ethnically diverse student population, not something you always find at other universities.
In all, USF is an impressive looking school - small, urban and clean. I look forward to returning for a formal tour with my daughter this summer.
5 stars.
