Im going to miss them once my grandson heads off to kindergarten. Sunbrook Academy - McDonough Lacey Poulsen: I have 3 kids attending Luella from 5 months to 8 years old. We have had a great experience and concerns are addressed when/if they arise. My kids seem to love their teachers and overall enjoy going to daycare. My only complaint is the red clay that ruins my 2 year olds clothes. St. James Preschool-McDonough, Ga - McDonough Eric Bridwell: St. James Preschool is a wonderful place to entrust your childs development with a wonderful team of skilled and loving teachers, led by an even more qualified Director.
My Son attended St. James Preschool when he was 2 and within the first week, his vocabulary exploded! He continued to attend the preschool until 2020 and is now in kindergarten.
My sons development was accelerated during his time at St. James Preschool, and I cannot give the school, its teachers, and Director higher praise! A+++ Chroma Early Learning Academy @ Mcdonough - McDonough TQuay Waters: This was my first time putting my kids in daycare & I was so nervous. But after meeting Ms.Stacey & seeing how she really cares for the children , I felt so much relief. She communicates well she keeps you informed about your child day to day needs & even takes initiative to get to know the parents which is important.. she is literally 1 of 1 .... MY DAUGHTER & I highly recommend ❤️ Wesley Lakes Academy Incorporated - McDonough Onyeji Nnenna “Nena”: The staff appears to be extremely pleasant and nice . Tonya is very friendly . My 1 year old never started . I had two major concerns after observing in the classroom.
1. There’s a major lack of diversity in teachers and staff with classrooms full of black children .
2. Hygiene in the classroom: There was about 6 children in the busy 1 year old classroom with very snotty noses running down to their chin. Understandable, but I didn’t seen any Kleenex, Lysol wipes, spray or anything . My daughter came to observe the classroom on Friday, and the sick children ran up to her and were coughing directly in her face with zero redirection from the teachers to teach them to cover their mouth or anything . By Sunday, my daughter was just as sick as the kids with snotty noses running down to their chin. It didn’t appear that their noses had been wiped , at all, all day.
The second thing I saw in a 10 min observation was a teacher changing a diaper while the infant was standing up. I do not think you can properly clean a diapered baby while standing to get in the crevasses. I didn’t see her wiping the child, at all.
These things were too concerning for my daughter to start.
I do think that they are friendly staff but overall just didn’t meet the standards for me to trust my daughter was being cared for like I would like her to be. Cedars Preschool at McDonough - McDonough Kirstie Amber: Mrs. Kizzie is a great person to trust your kids with. You can tell she is passionate and really cares about the kids. They all love and trust her.
Mrs. Anna is a great teacher; always pushing the kids to their full potential and creating new things for them to learn.
Both ladies work very well together and create a positive atmosphere for the children.
