Nord Anglia International School, New York - New York Tammy McCann: I love the sense of community at this school, the Teachers have such a love in what they do and in the way they teach the children. The PTA runs events that bring families together, building fun memories of the school years. My kids really love coming to school as they feel supported by the teachers in learning new tricky topics. I feel that through the IPC curriculum my children have retained more information and have more fun at school than they have ever before. Maryel School of New York - New York Carmen Matos: My granddaughters attend this school and they are learning a lot of interesting subjects including Spanish. I’m so grateful I can talk to them in my native language and they understand me! Professor Juan Bosch Public School - New York Tha Town visitor: I am a local dog walker and I notice every single detail on garbage lying around and littering on sidewalks and streets and I can tell you this, this is one of the cleanest sidewalks in front of the school I have ever seen in the neighborhoods of Washington Heights and Inwood. I’m constantly putting up recent pictures of places that should clean up their sidewalks and help our town look better. Let’s stop blaming others and do something about it. School In The Square - Middle School - New York S Alejandra Gutierrez: Years before the school has been great, no complaints at all. They had a wide rage of activities, students voices were being heard, and overall had students wanting to be a part of the school and come to school. However, once new administration came things ended up changing for the worse. There has been a lack of activities for students to participate in, a few teachers are disrespectful, and its not in great conditions with many areas around the school being dirty. The way the school resolves conflict is atrocious, there was a backpack issue so the try to resolve it with a clear trash bag that broke in less than a hour. Teachers exclude there favorite students from issues involving them. Years prior issues were being resolved fairly and equally to the students. They excluded 6 and 7th grade from any consequences and use 8th grade as escape goats, even letting them face all the consequences from all the grades doing due to them "being older". Throughout the year there has been teachers constantly leaving theres a big inconsistencies in teachers, leaving students without learning. Students in the 8th grade lack motivation to come to school. The voices of students arent heard. They havent done anything to inspire student to think of potential career choices. Students are now limited to using the bathroom to only 2 times a day. P.E isnt in every students schedule which is mandatory in the state New York. There is rarely any health classes. Overall I do not recommend sending your child to this school its not an overall good environment.
