5 /5 Chris Collin: Both of our children attended George Walton Academy from fifth grade through graduation, and it was truly the best decision we ever made for their education. We originally moved from Gwinnett County because we were frustrated with the overcrowded public school system, where large class sizes made it difficult for our kids to receive the individualized attention they needed. At George Walton, they not only got that attention but also gained invaluable skills that have set them up for success in college and beyond. The school fostered their independence, instilled strong study habits, and provided an environment where they could truly thrive. Now that both of our children are in college, we can see firsthand how well-prepared they are—thanks to the solid foundation they received at GWA. Paying tuition each year was a sacrifice, but without a doubt, it was worth every penny. Investing in our children’s future through George Walton Academy has given them the tools, confidence, and work ethic to be successful in life, and we are so grateful for the experience they had there.

5 /5 TheresaW511: We have four children at George Walton and could not be happier! The sense of community is indescribable, the curriculum thorough, and the opportunities for all ages are endless. My children have been involved in various clubs and after school sports. When my daughter is old enough, she will be able to take dance. I also appreciate the emphasis placed on morals, ethics, and religion. I feel that George Walton is preparing them for the future and focused on the whole child.

5 /5 Doug Root: We have had a great experience at George Walton Academy! For the past 7 years we have been at the school and are extremely happy with the faculty, students and the overall experience. The College counselors are amazing and meet with the students throughout their HS years. We were blown away by the help and direction they gave us. This truly sets GWA apart. Not to mention they have down to earth faculty and an overall vibe that reminds me of schools we grew up in. We left the City of Decatur schools to come to Monroe and Im glad we did

5 /5 Shannon Marler: Both of my children attended GWA (Classes of 2015 and 2024) and were heavily involved in sports and other extra curricular activities offered. Both graduated with honors and got into UGA early admission, which is very difficult. Without a doubt GWA prepared them for college - they were challenged academically and taught at a very early age the importance of studying and practicing what you learned at school when you went home (yes, homework), so when they got to college they knew how to study and balance college life. My children both made life-long friends and had the best school experience at George Walton Academy. So many wonderful teachers, coaches and administrators who truly care about the students and their success not only during their time at GWA, but in life afterwards. Several coaches and teachers are still some of my childrens dearest friends. Id highly recommend this school.
