While the MSOT program was hard, they taught me how to be a generalist OT which gave me the knowledge to understand what OT does as a whole instead of focusing on specific parts of our practice. I would suggest this type of education/ training to anyone who wants to be a "jack of all trades" because I think OT is more than just one thing. Its a professional practice that is holistic and has its roots in both the mental and physical side of rehabilitation and functional performance. They had some of the greatest professors who knew how to teach in a way for everyone to understand the complexity of the OT profession. My kid had a cross bite and supernumerary tooth, and two local dentists/orthodontists refused to perform ortho treatment for the minor given this detail.
My son has been seen/treated by Dr. Rebecca Long at USC Ortho department and I have been very pleased with the treatment and quality of care.
My sons teeth are nice and straight within less than a year. There are follow-up procedures needed, but so far all has been great!
The cost/pricing is straight and transparent.
Dr. Long has been always available for questions and responded quickly when needed.
The commute from Orange County was not fun, but the benefits and quality of attention definitely outweigh the long distance of commute.
