Overall my experience here wasnt the best, but it wasnt as horrible as I had experienced with the previous university. For the MOST PART the professors I had were good, but they were either good professors or they were HORRIBLE, there was no in between. The reason Im giving this three stars is because Im having to drop out because I dont have 2 accounting classes, which means I have to be a transient at a different college for 1-2 semesters and pay out of pocket (which I cant do) all because of TWO classes. The reason is because they dont offer lower level classes here at all, but especially online where its even more limited. I work full time so I cant attend school in person. But when I entered the Human Resources Management (HRM) program I was told that it was available fully online and that I would be able to complete the degree with all the classes I already had. This was a lie, which I find out when I only have 2 semesters left before I graduate. Now, Im having to drop with only 2 semesters (nearly one year) left all because I was lied to about the program at the beginning before I applied. Everyone here (meaning financial aid, admin. people, etc.) were very nice, but they lied just to get me into the school. Overall, dont attend here unless you have every last one of your lower level classes completed or youll end up like me over 2 accounting classes that you cant complete. Very frustrating. The University of Texas at San Antonio - San Antonio Big Mac Attack: Best school in the nation for Business, Cyber Security, and Engineering. Top school for Military and Veteran students as well. Everything you need and looking for is close proximity to campus. Malls, shops, restaurants, Six Flags, and Sea World. If youre not here, then what are you doing with your life? Very rich and diverse campus, with plenty of opportunities all around. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. The food is really good at the Roadrunner Cafe too. Dont listen to the negative reviews. Get here now! LeTourneau University - Longview Steven Mitchell: Very nice and comfortable. Sound system could use an upgrade, as its hard to understand what the speaker is saying sometimes. Texas A&M University - College Station Rosie H: Howdy! What an Awesome experience! Feel so much better about my son attending school here after attending the NSC. Love the structure, pride, integrity and family oriented atmosphere. Cant wait to see him graduate. Gig em! Southern Careers Institute - Corpus Christi - Corpus Christi Jennifer Lopez: Southern Careers Institute in Corpus Christi TX was a great decision for me to go for my career. The teachers that I had were the best teachers you could ask for. Shout out to Doc... Mrs. M....Mrs. Rios...and last is Mrs. Perez thank all ya for helping me achieve my goal career. Thank you to Marianne Cooper and Jennifer Castillo for helping find that right externship that turned out to my job. Texas State is by far the most impersonal, inflexible of them all. If you have any kind of issue, just know that youll be met with a machine-like resistance to any compromise. Students are treated with a general lack of compassion. Perhaps theyve grown too much, too fast, but this is not a place of understanding.
As a military vet, their VA office is horrible at communicating. You would be much better off at any of the other places Ive mentioned, as they actually care about helping non-traditional students succeed.
Texas State treated me like a burden, and left me feeling hopeless and owing money in the end because of their ineptitude.
Do not be fooled. It is *all* about the money with this institution.
