The curriculum challenges the scholars and our kids have shown tremendous growth since switching from the public school system. Rising Stars Academy - Melbourne Jessica Willems: I wish I would have known about this school years ago. My son absolutely loves going to school now. They work with him at the level he is at so he actually is learning and understanding. He had all straight As. The teachers are wonderful. Always communicating with the parents and so patient with the kids. South Area Alternative Learning - Melbourne Tim Mazin: The staff here are the sole reason I havent returned since. I was here for half of my freshman year of high school, and it was a great experience, better than I had hoped for even. The teachers were the greatest aspect of this whole school, despite it being an alternative school. They treated us like actual human beings rather than animals in a zoo, which is what made me realize what was truly good for me and what wasnt. When the teachers treat you like their own kid, you find no reason to be back here. I might as well add that a lot of my classmates were also great people, just caught up in bad situations.
