Southeastern College - Boynton Beach - Boynton Beach Jasmine Alfaro: Southeastern College has provided me with an incredible experience as a future Physician Assistant (PA) student. I participated in an 8-month online program, which was perfect for my circumstances. Whenever I had the opportunity, I would visit the campus in Miami Lakes to gain hands-on experience in my clinical studies, such as drawing blood, performing EKGs, and taking vital signs. This experience has been an invaluable step on my journey to becoming a physician assistant in the future. During the 8 months of online learning, the instructors were exceptional and highly knowledgeable. I never hesitated to reach out for help if I didn’t understand a subject or needed guidance on an assignment. The instructors genuinely cared about my education and ensured I grasped the material thoroughly. After completing my coursework, I went on to my externship in Deerfield, which lasted four weeks. I learned a tremendous amount during this time and was even hired within my fourth week. I couldn’t be happier with my education at Southeastern! My toddler had never been to daycare so when he got there he had a huge adjustment for him as a 1.5 year old. The staff was very caring and supportive of his process. He is doing amazing. I love that they send a weekly journal of all they have done for the week and include pictures.
My 5 month old daughter just started there and I was so nervous to leave her there and they have been so accommodating. The staff sends pictures of her daily and I am always welcome to call to check in and pick her up whenever is good for her and I.
