I dont recommend this school. There is no real academic instructors. Every students has different experience. Deniz Ates Brown It has been a great journey for both my BBA and MBA; such amazing programs! I came as an international student and found I never need to travel the world anymore, as it is a very diverse global community presence among students and even professors. The classes are designed for you to soak up the material and learn new things very efficiently at your own pace. The administration is very responsive, knowledgeable and always helpful. The same goes for professors as they are committed to your success, and want you to actually learn with resourceful takeaways from each course. As a nationally accredited University, SSU will soon be WASC (regional accreditation ) approved which shows how dedicated University is. Aside from that, it is very affordable so you would not have to incur any student debt (yes- I laugh very loud to the ones that do, for not choosing SSU)!! Thumbs up for a great educational journey, and as a happy graduate, I have a great career thanks to a lot of help from SSU!

atesdeniz This small career University has it all. Low prices, Central location, and most important; Small classes. I have been studying for half a year towards by BBA in Business Administration and find the faculty, the school and everyone amazing. Describing the environment would be at first very international, with students from Europe, all the way to Brazil). Furthermore, what I really like is their well scheduled classes being extremely helpful to survive as an international student in San Diego. Teachers really care about the students, and do their hardest best for progress. I would definitely reccomoned this cost efficient, yet vibrant university as a pathway to the success of many students.

Patricia ICOHS College has the best and most dedicated instructors in my opinion. The college also focuses on hands-on learning and has a strong sense of community. Everyone is so supportive, and if youre looking for a healthcare college that cares about its students and prepares them for the real world, ICOHS is definitely worth checking out.

Heather Harlan I decided to write a really detailed review because other people need to know the truth about this school so they can make an informed decision. I attended the massage therapy program at ICOHS College, and I’m extremely disappointed with the entire experience. If I had known what it would really be like, I would’ve chosen a different school. ICOHS is one of the most expensive massage programs in San Diego — over $15,000, which is about $5,000 more than other local schools. When I asked why it costs so much more, I was told it’s because they provide a massage table, a laptop, books, and supplies. But none of that adds up. The massage table was a super basic $165 table from Amazon (narrower and cheaper than the ones we practiced on in class), the laptop was around $155, and the books were only digital copies — no hardbacks. They also gave us a silicone cupping set, some cheap oil and lotion, and thin sheets — maybe $60–$70 worth of materials total. No bolster, no massage chair. All together, everything they gave us was under $1,000. So where is the extra $4,000 going? The main reason I chose ICOHS was the three-day-a-week schedule, which worked with my job. But halfway through the program, they added a required fourth day. That completely threw off the schedule I had planned for — and the worst part? The extra days were totally disorganized. Most of the time, there was no real lesson or structure. We just sat there while teachers tried to figure out what to do with us. Some teachers were amazing, but others… not so much. One in particular, literally fell asleep in class — not once, but multiple times. He also spent more time talking about his personal life than teaching. And overall, there just wasn’t enough hands-on practice for an eight-month program. Way too many hours were wasted when they could’ve been used to actually make us better therapists. What really frustrated me the most, though, is that they pass everyone. Even students who couldn’t name major muscle groups or pass basic tests were still given certificates. That’s not just frustrating — it’s concerning. These are people who will be working on clients’ bodies in a professional setting, and some weren’t ready for that responsibility. I was genuinely excited to start massage school, but by the end, I just wanted to get out. Now I’m stuck paying off a very expensive education that didn’t live up to its promise. Honestly, I’m embarrassed to say I went to ICOHS, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Please do your research and look into other schools in San Diego — there are better options out there.

Cassandra Rae Escobar I am part of the massage program and so far it is incredible. It is a high work load but is so fun that it does not even feel like school. Instructors I have met and worked with so far are amazing and I am so glad I chose this school for massage therapy. Parking can be a challenge but my pro tip is to email the First Lutheran church off 3rd street and get an assigned spot for 175 a month :) eliminates the worry if its in your means. I do also wish the massage tables they gave us for home use were actually full size like the ones at school. They dont seem as sturdy and will not be usable for some of my broader clients in the future. I will need to get something bigger but it works for now. Thank you ICOHS!

syona ball I have been to three CC’s in California. I started off at Palomar because I was living in north county. Moved to Santa Barbara and attended SBCC and loved it. Then moved to Lemon Grove so I decided on Mesa over Palomar. I have never attended a school where 95% of the teachers rate my professor reviews are awful. It’s not even like there are mixed reviews it’s people over and over saying “do not take this class with this teacher” but all the teachers for this class have reviews like this you have to settle with someone who has adult reviews. And it shows in their teaching MASSIVELY. I don’t know what’s wrong with this school and why their faculty are so bad at their jobs, but I highly suggest NOT attending this school. It’s one of my biggest regrets, Palomar and SBCC were AMAZING in comparison. Even if the location is convenient it’s just not worth it. I am not getting a quality education here. Do not attend this school.

I really enjoy studying in this university as I am very passionate in doing MBA and this university really encouraged me to motivate me and follow my passion and it also had helped me in learning many other things which are important for my career, apart from my academics. I absolutely recommend this university for all the international students for MBA programs and big thumps up to all the CMU Staff, Professors who helped me out from the day 1 till today. I had never seen such a friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this university to the students, who plan to do MBAs to choose CMU as the best option.

Nee Mo Once you research most professors you realize their education and knowledge in general is definitely not good enough for them to be professors. They do not have professional etiquette and their courses seem sketchy. You cant find this school anywhere on Reddit or Quora to get a hand on the history and graduates of this place. The marketing is terrible which makes me wonder if they really even care about their school and their teachings. Dont recommend to someone who wants to professionally work in the industry. Great for someone who just wants a lousy degree that wont get them a job.

I prefer the hybrid classes because the amazing instructors and the intelligent students create an atmoshpere of fun and creativity as well as challenging. All the instructors are experienced and make for a fun and challenging school experience. The staff has been extremely helpful in all areas and I really feel like they want me to succeed. The MBA program at CMU is designed for working professionals and I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to improve their careers.

Lee Cruz Please read this warning/ there are no windows or air flow in this building that means there are no windows, theres no airflow and when you walk into this building it smells like all these different layers of chemicals, (a cancer center) when I used to go to class there I would ask the students entering the door at the same time as me Id say hey do you smell what I smell and they would immediately go into detail of how awful it was that we knew we were going to sit in a toxic building with no air flow and breathe in these really dangerous chemicals, well it got so very bad that I had to quit taking classes. The last day I was in class there I was so sick my face was so inflamed because of the thick layer of chemicals in the air I was coughing and I heard other students coughing also from the chemicals in the air.... Im so bummed, I reached out to the school, to many of the employees there and everybody was just as clueless as could be, They didnt comprehend what was going on. I truly worry about how many people there will be coming down with cancer.

Eman Payne The arena is beautiful with great seats wherever you sit. The only problem is that they chose an open-air amphitheater style of design which rules out many events that could occur contingent on the weather. Southern California usually has great weather, but lately, you never know. Also, the nosebleed seats at the top of the arena are the steepest angle youll imagine. If you have to sit there and are older, it might be a frightening experience.

Sage Dakota, LMFT Really appreciate this clinic and the providers. They have a collaborative and preventive approach to healthcare and look at health more holistically than most Western medical practitioners. I feel my viewpoint of my health is respected and my experience of my own body and health is taken seriously. Everyone at Bastyr University Clinic is kind, personable, and thorough. The fact that students work here alongside the doctors allows them to keep their prices affordable, while most naturopathic and functional medicine doctors charge a fortune. I highly recommend this business without reservation.

Google Account The best college at UCSD - Pros: GE requirements arent difficult and there arent as many vs other colleges; prime location; caring administration and RAs; new dining hall; late night food options; mission (scholar and citizen) and general vibe. Cons: the marshall "uppers" & "lowers" (apartments) arent great. The "lowers" especially have had bug and animal problems for a few years now and the age of the buildings definitely shows. Marshall is an awesome college to be in, but try to actually live somewhere else.

La Señora De Musa I am a former student from UCSD paralegal program, I graduated on June 2016. The director Julia Dunlap and her staff are very professional, and very helpful. What I like about UCSD extension is their flexibility (specially for those of us that have full time jobs) and the convenience of their small campus. When I went for an orientation at UCSD paralegal program Ms. Dunlap was very helpful and answered all my questions in a very kind way. For this reason I decided to stay and I completed my program. Azra Mukanovic is the student coordinator for this program and she is also very nice and polite. My experience at UCSD extension has been great, I cannot speak for the other programs that are offered at UCSD extension, but the paralegal program is great and I totally recommend it

Alexa Williams Enrolled in the ADN RN program at the Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing located on the San Diego campus. They are currently trying to dismiss me as a form of retaliation for reporting concerns with staff and Dean. They claimed fell below the 70% after not grading and adding all of my assignments to my final grade. I have ample proof of submitting early! In August 2024 after attempting to resolve issues with instructor since June, I followed all procedures outlined in the student handbook to file a grievance concerning: 1. Disparities in the grading process: Grades were inconsistent, and the instructor failed to follow the syllabus. (Instructors only graded assignments twice within the entire 16 week semester. Assignments did not have accurate due date dates on their assignment dash board and were randomly graded. Students did not have an accurate prediction rather or not they were going to even pass the class, many students found out they were failing after being put on academic probation with only weeks left to try to pass classes. ) 2. Unpredictable assignments and quizzes: These were issued sporadically, without any clear structure or schedule. 3. Inadequate lab hours: The promised hours at the beginning of the semester were not delivered. (Most lab hours offered conflicted with majority student pre req. courses that you will be dismissed from the program if you are late or absent. Student tutoring services were claimed to be offered and every session I scheduled was either canceled last minute or resulted in a No Show) 4. Failure to account for all submitted assignments: Some assignments I submitted were neither graded nor acknowledged. 5. Students enrolled in course did not have full access to the course text book.(Instructor was asked weekly by students but refused to allow students to access the pearson text book online which would also allow students to access more study materials. We were charged and NOT refunded for this $400 book and online access) After attempting to resolve these issues directly with the instructor, I escalated my concerns to the administration. When no effective action was taken, I brought the matter to the Dean. The Dean of Nursing at my location, Linda De La Cruz, a registered nurse in the state of California, acknowledged during a phone conversation that she was already aware of the concerns I raised regarding my professor. She admitted that she had discussed these issues with the instructor and instructed him to implement the necessary changes before the end of the semester, effectively granting him another opportunity to address his deficiencies. Following this conversation, Dean De La Cruz became increasingly defensive and unprofessional in her interactions with me. When I provided updates regarding my continued negative experiences in subsequent classes taught by the same instructor--classes that showed no meaningful revisions to the curriculum or evidence of reform action with the instructor--her response was consistently dismissive. She not only maintained a defensive stance but also actively placed blame on me and other students for the ongoing issues related to the professor, the class, and the curriculum. I am preparing to file a civil lawsuit (even though they try to force students to go through an arbitration by a contract they force you to sign to recover all damages). Their several fraudulent practices qualify for a civil case, since attending this institution since they refuse to reform its program and actually enforce and follow their own policies and procedures outlined in their student handbook as well as federal and state guidelines. I strongly do not suggest this school as an option while pursuing any medical higher education and urge all students who have experienced any of the same experiences to document all communication and report the experiences to (BBB, BPPE, California Board of Nursing, FASFA Borrowers Loan Discharge Complaint, and File a Consumer Fraud report with your Attorney General)

Javier DE LA Vega My son has had nothing but problems with this school. First he was told he needed 60 credits to graduate, and the counselor set him up with classes totaling 59. So he ended up having to take another class to graduate. Then, they messed up his degree, longer story short, he is still waiting to receive his diploma, which is delaying his academics another semester. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this college.

Cacey benton North West College was one of the best schools I could have chosen when it came to getting my Medical Assistant Certification. I loved how the program was hybrid, the teachers were very thorough and on point, and the staff there was amazing. I have to say if you go to Northwest College make sure to build a relationship with Jesse. He’s the career coordinator. He made my experience at that school wonderful. He always encouraged me when I was feeling down and unsure . He always makes sure that I was taking care of. If I ever had an issue, I would go to Jesse and even if it wasn’t his job, he will go above and beyond to make sure I receive the resources that I needed to get my issues. He also was able to find me a job within two weeks of me graduating. Jesse made North West College the college that it is today.

Jaznique Dawson I enrolled into this college and was extremely hyped and excited about my program. Had a great instructor who left after the first week, a new instructor wasn’t placed into the class until the 3rd week. The (retired) new instructor unfortunately was not competent enough to be teaching this course, she was not giving us any information aside from what i could read out of my text book and i wasn’t learning anything. I spoke with the director hoping for a better solution but was told to go back to the instructor and explain to her what it is we need to be learning. NOT HAPPENING. I withdrew from the school, no money would be refunded back to me. I actually STILL have to make payments for the days i attended class. It was completely unfair that they just threw anybody in there to teach this accelerated course and everyone but one person in the class is unhappy about with it.

Jennifer Kumasi I attended the PMT program. I was nervous to go back to school after a career change I made and being that I hadn’t been in school for a very long time. Ms. Page was my instructor. I remember sitting in the office getting ready to get my supplies needed for class and in walks Ms. Page. Little did I know this woman walking in and greeting me with a huge smile would be the one who changed my life and had such an instrumental roll in my future. Ms. Page truly cares about her students, she takes the time to help you understand if your lost she reassures you every step of the way “you can do it” I have so much gratitude and respect for this woman. If any of you out there have the privilege to be taught by this woman you won’t regret it. She changed my life and I will always have much love for her!

Becca B My review is based on being a prospect, rather than a student. Back in February, I was considering taking the Billing & Coding class. I sent them an email to get some information, but no one ever got back to me, so I called a couple of days later. The gentleman I spoke to was very nice and scheduled a time for me to come in the following week. I had a really hard to finding the building and was late to my appointment, but they were super nice about it and allowed me to still come in and meet with an adviser, after 5pm. The adviser gave me a packet that talked about the school, but he didnt seem to know a whole lot about the program I was interested in, however he was able to tell me how the process goes. He showed me a couple of the classrooms and asked if Id like to sit in one, to get an idea on what the class was like. I told him Id love that and he said hed call me once he spoke with the instructor. Needless to say, I never heard from him. Yes, I could have called, but if he was really interested in having me as a student, there would have been more of an effort. I even told him the tuition payment would be covered by an organization Im affiliated with, so making payments wouldnt be an issue. Since I never heard back, I signed up for another program with another institution, instead.

Joe Rogers Tried to point out a flaw in an assignment and showed them where ambiguity was showing instead of clear concise directions of what is expected for the assignment and everyone up to the Dean has been unable to show me otherwise and just decide to side with the Moronic Professor. I informed them that I was willing to discuss the issue in length, but no one reached out other than by email which isnt conducive to a discussion but meh...Also told them I was more than willing to do the extra stuff they were requesting if they could rewrite the instructions so they were clear and concise as to what is expected of the students...that wasnt done either; mind you this was a Training and Development course...guess you would think clear and concise instructions would be a non-issue for a class like this since that is a key component to any training and development plan. Now they can reap the consequences of failing to take in outside information from lowely students with the fact that my reviews will hurt their bottom line to some degree. Even if I only ever reach 1% of all people looking into going to that school and they decide to go somewhere else, that is a lot of cash over a lifetime. Guess they forgot that while I am only just a student I am the client. Also, it is rather annoying that they think that everyone in attendance is getting their first Masters degree and that we dont know jack...not like I am starting my third Masters at a different college this summer...Good luck DeVry!

Dion Cash The first set of 8 week classes was great, I was genuinely enjoying the experience, the professors I had are great and the students were engaged. The second set of 8 weeks started out good, but it didnt take long for weird stuff to start happening. Ive had the same passwords for years and then all of a sudden my passwords werent working, which would normally not be an issue but I kid you not it took hours just for me to log in. Then I when I finally got it I wasnt able to post a response to the discussion questions. This happened everyday, I would have to reset my password and took forever to log in. I called I.T. and they were only able to help out so much. Ultimately the problem was solved, about two days later. Another issue was the inconsistent help. I called my student advisors number to get help with my log in etc but I the student I was assigned at the beginning of my time at Devry I rarely spoke with. it was generally a different person every time which seemed to make it a challenge for the advisors to keep track of my progress/issues. I was constasntly repeating myself and getting nowhere. Its gotten to a point where Im just over it. Its as if someone is preventing me from completing my classes. If I cant retake the classes with no interference then I need a full refund because I put forth a massive amount of energy and time into these courses that way I can fully understand the material.

Brandon This review, is not solely based on this location per se, but rather DeVry University as a whole. Also, I have attended campuses in Anaheim, Long Beach, San Diego, and Pomona. Starting with the positives, most of the professors on campus are great. Many are very experienced, fair, and show a genuine interest in helping students. Other staff personnel were friendly and helpful as well. I also liked the convenience of only having to attend one live lecture per week and being able to turn in work from home. Now for the negatives. The worst part of DeVry is the tuition rates, but not only because tuition is excessive from DeVry being a for-profit organization, but because they charge the same rate for online courses as they do for on-site courses which is beyond ridiculous. Price is what you pay and value is what you get. To say you get even half the value of on-site courses with online courses would be putting it nicely. Ive had many issues with online professors, but never with professors on campus. Most (with the exception of very few) of the online professors seem as if they do the bare minimum. Tardiness is common, many neglect to respond to students in a timely manner, most wont even take 30 minutes out of their day to make a simple live video to help students. Ive also witnessed some unfair/bizarre feedback for submitted assignments from online professors as well which made it seem as if the professor assigned a grade without even peeking at the submission.

Jude Roberts At NCU, all mentors are PhDs, and unlike some professors at "the brick, mortar and glass" universities I have also attended, NCU mentors are more rigid, highly professional, and extremely thorough in supporting learners throughout their learning experience in their chosen program.

NA NA I do not like to be negative. I want to share a concerning story. I video chatted a professor who ended up being licensed to practice in my own state while supposedly simultaneously chatting our department head who ended up being another administrative head who ended up being a Medicaid Disability rater. He is no longer licensed to practice psychology, anywhere according to the National Provider database. The non-administrative professor also used to be my neighbor. I realized it after the call. I believe that lying is something detested by my Creator, so therefore me. (Shabbat 55a) I am concerned about this school doing other things to other students. Family Therapy models can sometimes be strange as they have "paradoxical interventions." These can be quite outrageous sometimes to help a family get back together. This is not an intervention. I do not know what it is but it is unethical, lying, and illegal. I found all of this out with digging into why they denied my room and board when they admitted they give it to other students. They bankrupted my family despite before matriculating I had asked many questions about working or overlapping classes while taking out living expenses to finish early. I did my own research into the school for myself and the other reviewers who had experienced similar weaponization of financial aid. It was taken away because I complained and threatened to report them and sue. They said you cannot go to two schools at once. Yes you can. You cannot take room, board, and personal expenses at two schools. You cannot do Work Study at two schools. You cannot take state and federal grants at two schools. I wish the students and well meaning people who work or go here the best but I truly feel that with their past sanctions by the Department of Education (2011-2013) they need to be reigned in to protect students. Their level of retaliation is unseen and should be stopped. Permanently. They need permanent Inspector General oversight.

angela Terry I recently graduated with an MBA/Marketing from Northcentral University, and I found it was a great experience. The school teaches individuals to be disciplined in meeting deadlines and doing assignments. The mentors are one on one which is much more cohesive and the curriculum is challenging. I recently re-enrolled in a DBA/Marketing program
