Joshua Baldwin This church has very exquisite and very beautiful architecture that is not only a historic treasure but also truly lifts the heart and soul toward God. However, during my visit there with a friend a year or two ago, my friend shared with me that few if any of the parishioners had expressed any interest in getting to know or befriending her and her husband during their time there.
While parish architecture is important and a beautiful church truly does life the heart and soul to God, I gathered that the parishioners there had lost sight of the importance of community and had formed unhealthy cliques and fail to welcome visitors and new parishioners. That is why I am leaving a three-star rating, which is the lowest that I will ever rate a Catholic church. If you are reading this and you are a St. Canice parishioner, please commit to being more welcoming in the future. Thanks!
