Jonathan New to SLO, I visited a couple Sundays ago. I really enjoyed the historical research and educational portion of Pastor Brians (I think thats his name - sorry) teaching. Im not big on worship and patterned rituals, but I do love solid education in the word. Thank you.

Matthew Woods We have fallen in love with SLO City Church. After attending another Church in town for several years we felt it was time for a change and SLO City came into our life at the perfect time. The Childrens ministry is growing and led by a dynamic leader whom our three boys love. Brent is one of the most incredible pastors whom each weeks delivers a message that meets us just where we need. What a blessing to have SLO City in our community.

David Bradley Come by any Saturday morning, and youll see adults and kids from Grace Church at 7am, working to distribute food to members of the community (no questions asked) through their "Gods Storehouse" ministry. Come back Sunday morning, and youll see young children, teens, college students, singles, marrieds, parents, grandparents - together worshiping God at one of Grace Churchs multi-generational church services. Great, eclectic music style and solid, relevant Bible teaching. Come back during the week, and you see the church touching every aspect of the community. My family and I have attended for 7 years. Highly recommend.

Tayler Mallory Prettiest church Ive seen in slo. Very nice people, always helpful, and not pushy. Has a very beautiful outside tub for baptisms. Great worship. Great view from inside. Id say family oriented aswell.

Its to the point and sneaks up on you as you listen, reflect on the message. Diverse musical instruments and great vocals take the whole experience up several notches! Look forward to attending every Sunday!!!

Monica Cadena Ive moved around a bit so Ive experienced a few different Churches in my life but when I think of a time I really needed support through a difficult time in my life SLO Naz was there, most churches preach the gospel but many dont live it, this church lives it! I felt the love of Christ and think of their pure kindness often.

Pam Lee What a wonderful church! Small but mighty! Pastor Olaiz takes his teachings right from the Bible and explains it to us in plain English. I really appreciate the fellowship, the congregation is extremely sincere. If you want a place to call your home church, come and visit, you will be pleasantly surprised!

Brooke Vice I am really happy to say I have been going to Local Church for almost eight years. In that time, I’ve had a lot of big life changes, and I’m really grateful to have had the people at Local be a part of my life through it all. When I first started looking for churches, I definitely wasn’t expecting to be as involved as I have become at Local, but I am really grateful for it. As the years have gone on, I’m becoming increasingly convinced that the pastors and leaders and members of this church are all looking to do the best they can for people and to bring Jesus to people. Its actually been pretty amazing to see so many people wanting to do SOMETHING for Jesus by sharing his message and engaging in discipleship. It has inspired me to be a better me, and to have a deeper relationship with God. Since going here, the church has also started a second church in Santa Maria, which is such a great example of the heart that this church carries for people and their community. Definitely recommend coming to this church and getting to know some of the people here, I’m glad I did. Edit: updated the name of the church to Local in my review:)

Jonathan Rabbon JCF has an excellent community! I have enjoyed going for the past 8 years, and attending house church for 6 years. There love of Gods people and care go hand in hand. When I first started coming to JCF, they did a college finals dinner. I remember how loving everyone was and how serving the body of Christ is at JCF.

Kenny Standhardt We hoped to find a spiritual home at St Stephens but it became clear to us it would not. Their relation to alcohol seemed to be more important to those at the top than much anything else. When we left after more than a year of being there I didnt even get a phone call or text from the priest in charge. Nor from anyone on the Vestry. Pretty much a "good ridden" My husband and I have never had such a bad experience at any church. As far as being welcoming to LGBTQIA+ I would say they did welcome us but that is not enough anymore. We now attend a wonderful church that is affirming.

dmkr14 Excellent services:generic,Christian,uplifting. Pastor Rich and wife Vanessa are welcoming; the congregation is friendly. Services include live music, overhead photos. No pressure to give $. Activities to benefit community.

J D What why were two men on the sidewalk taking photos of license plates and of parishioners driving in to the church parking lot on Sunday, June 9, 2025? The police could call it loitering if a reporting person told them to move along and called the police? Renovate souls everywhere in many households. Theres a small food pantry outside near the front side of the building.

A Antonio If you have not been and are looking for a home this is a wonderful place to be. I love all the outreach projects they have going on and sense of belonging. This is such a warm and accepting church. I can not recommend them enough.

Cal Stevens We have always felt welcome here, and the worship is rich with history, scripture, as well as modern relevance, delivered in a winsome way. The world sometimes beats us up, but here I always feel a sense of retreat, refreshment, and equipped to re-approach life. God has accepted me, and though I am completely known by him, warts and all, I am forgiven, refreshed. I renew that truth every time I attend.

Shaelyn Doolin I have been going here since a child, I’ve tried different churches but always come back to Agape as my home church. It’s warm, loving, welcoming, and always has a great message. You can feel the Lords presence and the worship is unforgettable.

Kellie Cunningham Ive attended this church for a short time, but Im really starting to feel at home here. The pastor provides a heartfelt service and the band is awesome. All the members make you feel welcome and always want you to be included in whatever event is going on. Im very happy here!

Kathi Reis My family was a member at the church for over thirty-five years. This pastor is the most biblical teacher this church has had in a long time. We moved four and a half years ago and, we are visiting this area and attended this church on Sunday. Pastor and family were as welcoming and open as ever. The service was right on point. Im sorry if Beca and Shane are still hurting and holding bitter feelings. What you have said about this church is not true. Yes you did have an issue , and yes you didnt handle it well. God has told us to not hold bitter feelings. A good Christian counselor would have advised you to move on . Stop with the bitter feelings that is hurting you more then anyone.

Paul Saint Annes is a very friendly Catholic parish with a unique ancient liturgy that traces its roots back to the very early Christian communities. It is a beautiful experience bolstered by the colorful iconography and warm parishioners. Come visit this very special house of God and youll experience it for yourself in a way that my own words alone cannot do it justice.
