1 /5 Humane Wildlife Control: It seems this programs empathy is limited to humans. We were contacted by management of the Victory Outreach on Main Street, Salinas, about a skunk under the building. The property is in disrepair. The skunk is probably after rats - the place is a mess, from the photos we were sent. The skunk is the least of their problems. Instead of shoring up the base of the building and evicting the skunk family and eliminating any rats, they chose to trap the skunk (which may have dependent young). Not only was this act in violation of State trapping regulations, the intent was to get rid of the skunk - as if it were garbage. There is a right and good way to handle situations like this. They chose to go another direction. We have reported the incident to authorities. Fix the building!
