5 /5 Mary Clinkenbeard: The wonderful hairdresser I encountered upon visiting was not just knowledgeable about the particulars required of the style I sought, but also provided me with advice that likely saved my entire hair extension installation from becoming a botch job. See I was trying to get the cornrow braids needed to install a weave and as its not exactly a style utilized by Caucasian women very often I had little actual knowledge of what it takes to install. After the initial walk in discussion and an impromptu consultation this is what she said to me: I mistakenly purchased the entire set of bundles including a 4x4 closure (the "bangs")and in reality the install of said closure and indeed the long term wearing of it would have been unpleasant and ultimately resulted in my having to remove it and start over... Wasting a ton of money and time in the process. In addition to my mistake her quoted price of the complete install was a great deal more than I had to work with. However I had a good bit of research under my belt from watching videos and whatnot and I had the technical theory of the process on lock... Hence my only inquiring about cornrows, after which I would sew in the bundles myself at home. Again, without any prompting from me she offered the solution that finally got the job done. She said she would braid several rows into my hair with natural hair left out between each until only the top portion at the crown of my head was left. It would allow me to do the install on my own as I wanted to and would be so much less expensive than the whole head of cornrows. In the end I paid her 40 bucks, with a 20 dollar tip for being my friggin hero, and walked out in less than an hour. BTW, she did all of this in the period of time she was waiting on her next appointment to show up and was kind enough to give me priority once she had. Im still wearing the hair, all 30 jet black and beautiful inches of it! Id recommend her to anyone and will likely not attend a different salon anytime soon.
