Top Dawg Auto Repair - Riverside (CA)

Pierre Garcia Wanted to have my steering wheel replaced. Called a few shops in the area and most said they couldn’t do it for one reason or another. The only other shop that was willing to do it charged way too much. Called Jim’s Auto Repair and without asking too many questions, they told me they could do it. We set an appointment and they got it done without any issues and for a very fair price. It’s been a few weeks and no issues, they did a great job. I will definitely be taking my car there for any future repairs. Highly recommend!!

Fernando Da Silva Not from this are have a problem with my cc, stop and spoke with the mechanic he was very helpful, especially that he have several cars, did check and find out was a connection and was able to fix right the way. Did avoid me going to the dealer.

Derek O Bruce is as honest a mechanic as you can find. I realize that there are some negative reviews for this location, but I think there’s at least a couple negative reviews everywhere you go. One thing that can be certain, is that Bruce isn’t a shiesty auto mechanic. He charges fair labor prices, and he wants to help people with their vehicles! Moo Cow Ive been here several times for smog check. Hes all business, not very chatty. But hes fast and honest. Just had a brake and light inspection on a salvaged vehicle. As always, smooth sailing. A lot of other places will try to rip you off, threatening to fail you if you dont pay them to adjust your lights.

Dave Venturini This garage was a lifesaver, late on a Sunday afternoon. Not only did they see us promptly, the price was very reasonable and the service was well explained and fast. We were in a bind and a less honest place easily could have taken advantage, but this garage was very professional and amazing. We were on the way back from a long road trip, 50+ miles from home when our car suddenly started running very rough, the engine light came on flashing and later the traction control warning came on (thats how rough it was running). We called around, in an unfamiliar area, and everyone was closed or busy (not surprising late Sunday afternoon). But, this garage not only agreed to squeeze us in, they took a look as soon as we arrived so we could discuss options. The mechanic determined it was several cylinders misfiring and walked me through the possibilities, worn/damaged spark plugs, clogged injectors, ignition coil problem, compression/seal issue, etc. He took the time to explain the steps to diagnose/fix each possible issue and suggested we start with spark plugs & injectors based on his experience & initial impressions of the most likely cause (but explained it may require more). The price he gave seemed very fair (and based on subsequent research was very reasonable). Within an hour (much quicker than expected) he said the work was done, the car was fixed, we paid and were on our way. He also gave me a heads up on a few things I should have looked at in the future / were almost due, but didnt pressure us at all (just wanted to save me future hassle). Its been almost two weeks and the car has been running absolutely great. Honestly smoother than it was before the road trip, making me realize I probably missed some subtle warning signs, but that is on me. Its never fun to have sudden car trouble, but this garage & mechanic saved our trip, got us home on time, and was very professional and well priced. I cant thank them enough.

Ajay Gandhi This was my first time visiting this shop on 07/20/2021. Came is for a oil change. I arrived at the shop at 8am. Spoke to Daniel and he wrote up the work order and had my truck in his shop within a couple of minutes. About 20 minutes later the work was completed. I couldn’t have asked for an easier transaction! They have a customer waiting area that’s clean and comfortable (AC) with a few seats. I’ll definitely be making this my regular auto shop here in Riverside.
