5 /5 Kelly Dunn: I have been attending The Edge Community Church since about 2016 because my friend Johnsie invited me. From the moment I stepped through those doors, all of the staff have treated me and my kids like family! Pastor Mike, his wife Melissa, one of the sweetest people I know, Germaine, Terry, and everyone else! They are all so nice and welcoming. My mom also attends now because I invited her to all the events.
I cant even remember the last time Pastor Mike missed a Sunday service, if ever. He never cancels or has anyone else fill in. Ms. Melissa is always right there with him, too. Supporting him and doing worship.
My kids have always loved the kids ministry, learn something new, and do an activity of some sort. My kids are now 10 and 14.
I was going through a rough time in my life when I first visited and they helped me with anything I needed. They were there for me morally and financially.
Every holiday, they have some type of event for the kids. At Christmas time, my kids were spoiled rotten by The Edge when I couldnt afford any presents. At Easter, they host the biggest Easter egg hunt in the city. They host banquets and events for the major holidays.
Before Covid, they hosted movie nights in the park and gatherings at the community pool. They always have free food and drinks at their events! If it werent for The Edge I probably wouldnt leave the house!
They host all kinds of classes and groups to help people. They do a weekly food distribution. They house and feed the homeless. They do more for the community than anyone ever sees.
They mail handwritten thank you cards to volunteers and just because. They give unexpected gifts. They give out all kinds of goodies to new visitors and church members. They have coffee, drinks, and breakfast items every morning before service.
Ive "taken a break" from church at times and they always check-in on me and welcome me back with wide open arms. Every. Time. Thats probably why I keep going. Im always in a good mood after service, too.
I cant say enough good things about my church! Thank you Edge family!!!
