St Bartholomew Catholic Church

Dottsie Nat Im a member of this parish and have been for over 15 years. The parish is open to all and i became part of it because i felt its a warm and accepting parish. You will feel welcomed with open arms from both the priests and community. The masses are traditional but the homily s are related to modern lifestyles. The parish offers alot of extra activities in faith formation, neighborhood out reach, activities for all ages from elementary school thru parishioners in golden years. They have annual book sales, fashion shows, art shows, some with artist from international locals, cont ed for religious growth, giving trees to help make Christmas brighter for the children who would otherwise not have one. I could keep.going on but suffice it to say they offer alot to the neighborhood, and the neighborhood gives back. You will have a sense of belonging to a bigger community....life. Plus i just love the Irish priests....i could listen to their musical accents forever.

Unity of Long Beach

Mitchell Ramsey I havent attended yet. Im still actually a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but in good faith, Ima giving yall 5 stars ANYWAY, cause its been told "Cumberlanders" are pretty good people. Actually, in truth... Cumberland Presbyterian church broke from the Presbyterian at some point in the 1800s because the "regular" Presbyterian churches doctrine proclaimed predestination. The Cumberlanders are based in salvation by Gods Grace thru the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Sang in the choir for nearly 30 years.

City Church of Long Beach

kkrobbins This is my church! I have been attending here for about three years. I love the pastoral staff and really enjoy the sermons presented by Pastors Bill and Brenna. They may not always say what I want to hear, but they always say what I need to hear. The people at this church are pretty much like the people anywhere. They are a bunch of sinners. Maybe thats why I feel like I fit right in. It is a diverse, inclusive and welcoming church. This church pretty much welcomes anybody. Kind of like Jesus does. I am in the anybody category.

Christ Second Baptist Church

S K Fantastic congregation. Its the oldest black church in Long Beach. And they open their doors to great community organizations like the 100 Black Men and others. They are a generous and caring group. Hard to find any faults!

Parkcrest Christian Church

Malissa Christoffersen I love this Church. The Womens Bible study on Wednesdays is amazing if youre looking to build relationships and a deeper understanding of the bible. The 10am service has 2 options of worship. The main service has a full band and larger congregation and a small service with a more mellow unplugged worship service. The sermons have always been biblically sound. They usually work through a topic not a book of the bible.

St Gregorys Episcopal Church

cyndivr My wife and I feel blessed to have found an inclusive spiritual home at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church. The community is welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community in word and deed. Thanks to Father Michael for the valuable spiritual counseling before our wedding, for officiating our special day, and for creating a nurturing spiritual space for our family. We look forward to being a part of the congregation as a family. Thank you and God Bless!
