What Clients Are Saying Saint Joachim Catholic Church (GG)
2 /5 William Garnsey: Attended tonight for the healing mass. It was a long mass and the priest gave a great homily about Mary visiting Elizabeth and being infused with the Holy Spirit. The message was to be positive, inclusive and open to the Spirit. He even sang a verse from Nat King Coles song "Smile."
When it came time for the healing blessing after the Mass. He showed his negative side and admonished other parishioners who came up from pews that ONLY the really sick should seek the annointment. Basically, if you are not dying, dont waste his time. This is judgement and someone may not look ill, but their body/spirit may be in pain seeking healing. My wife is disabled and fighting cancer. She was among the many he turned away.
Father, you spoke fine words, but your actions told a very different story.
5 /5 Jesus Magallon: St Joachims is the Catholic Church of my youth. My wife and I are visiting from Most Blessed Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Good to be home for a visit. Praise God! Amen
1 /5 Faith: I feel very sad about how I was treated when I attempted to turn in the baptism paper work in the main office at St. Joachim. While I understand that there are numerous requirements that need to be completed (provide the godparents’ confirmation certificate, complete the application, etc) in order for my child to get baptized at St. Joachim, I felt that the person in the office was rude to me when she told me that I did not have the proper documentation needed. Her rude tone made me feel unwelcomed and offended. I honestly feel that there is a way of explaining things nicely, specially at a church but here I felt that I was treated unfairly. While I really wanted to baptize my son here, because I was baptized here as a child, due to the way I was treated I honestly don’t want to anymore.
2 /5 Mark Buentipo: Nice church and baptism service for my niece. Knocked a few stars because there is a rude lady at the end scolding parents with kids. Like what do you expect children are supposed to do inside a church? Kids will be kids and we were trying our best to be respectful during the baptism.
I seen this lady making comments to my sister and other parents. I didn’t appreciate her attitude and tone. This church needs to do better, especially in the holy setting.
5 /5 JOY TOBIAS - CHRISTO: I love this church. When I come here alone to pray and nobody’s there…it seems like I can personally talk to God.

Their message is very applicable to our every day lives. They always strive to help the fellowship to love God and have vision for the great plans God has for us.
Ben Lee A small Korean church and a Korean community. The English ministry is also led by a wonderful and knowledgeable pastor, Pastor Robin. The English ministry is pretty small but very close knit and always welcoming to everyone.
