5 /5 Belica Dawkins: I visited on a Sunday and the entrance was free. I saw the Mission, museum, the cemetery and there are a lot of knowledgeable volunteers around that joyfully share their knowledge. I recommend you to visit.
5 /5 Andy N: The Church is "Ad Orientem."
I actually use the compass app to verify, and yes, all the Churches built in that time period ad orientem.
- The Mission is beautiful.
- You should start your venture by buying a Mission Passport, and visit each one of them in California.
Stay local this year instead of going to Europe.
5 /5 Anil Panguluri: This is a 200 yr old mission established by Franciscan missionaries. The church appears to be a functioning church operated by folks from the nearby St.Joseph Church.
The interiors are extremely well maintained and the decor is exceptionally done. The exhibits showcase the church, native Ohloni culture and the heritage of early settlers.
The museum seems to be housed in the original building area - the doors are tiny so watch your head!
The church itself is quaint, a bit dark inside but takes you back to the wonderful past in which it’s built.
Outside the mission compound enjoy a walk along the mission creek in the little walkway.
I went in on a Sunday - there was absolutely not crowded. Great for me, but I wish more people enjoyed a visit to this gem of an attraction.
4 /5 Stephanie Wing: We are doing all of the missions in CA and this was our seventh one. It was lovely to view, I would say I liked the museum the best. So much history and so much fun, the gift shop was lovely as well. We did like the church, but, of course there were tours of kids in there and more visitors, so it kind of took away the magic, but it was very beautiful and we enjoyed viewing it all. The surrounding grounds are gorgeous to view as well.
4 /5 Maggie Castaneda: Very small but nice mission and new church is beautiful and walking stations of the cross is nice. $15 fee per person. To view inside mission and grounds. Needs better signs on exit on doors and room numbers
Pocky Princezz This place is a great church if you want to be part of a family and get deeper with God! There are so many fun events and great people!!
Kely M As my daughter got older, I began looking for a faith community that fit with my liberal values. I found it here at Mission Peak UU and actually became a member. That was 6 years ago, and now my teen daughter is in the Youth Group and absolutely loves it. Wherever you are in your lifes journey you are welcome here.
Christine Nelson Amazing church, amazing pastor & amazing people. God is blessing this church. Our relationship with God has strengthened since we have started to attend here. Focus is on families & people in general! Our son loves the youth programs & they have many church functions. Very friendly & welcoming!
