5 /5 Chuck Goettsche: Ive never written a single review before. I guess it takes a lot to impress me. Well, I got to say I am very, very impressed with Magallanes Auto Repair. I needed to replace the engine on my 1997 Toyota T-100 Pickup truck. This was a big decision for me, to invest so much in a 28-year-old truck, but if you know trucks, you know this is a special truck. Having lived in California for 50 years, I discussed this repair with two of my former favorite mechanics, and on the basis of a recommendation from AAA, I talked to Magallanes. The shop manager and the front office staff treated me with respect and extreme patience as I had many, many questions about the scope of this project. My confidence in their competence grew as I learned they had been in business for decades and I appreciated that most of the workers were mature (like me) and for example I was told the mechanic who would be working on my truck had been doing this work for 40 years. Well, after much careful thought, they got the job. I can honestly say it was one of the better decisions Ive made in my life. Throughout the project, the front office kept me informed at each step of the way. As long as I was replacing the engine, I wanted to make everything right with the truck so I added service items and new front brakes. When the work was complete and I went to pick up my truck, I was delighted to learn the work came in $200 under the estimate. Not only was the work done on budget in a timely fashion, but they did extra work. It was the little things...the handbrake was adjusted, a tail light was replaced, a future likely problem with the mechanical linkage of the clutch pedal was repaired - everything was improved while my truck was in their care. If youve read this far, youre youre getting the idea that I love my truck, and I do, but I also love the people at Magallanes. Whether its routine service or a major repair I strongly recommend that you go talk to these people. Talk to Adriana or Juana in the front office, talk to Alberto the shop manager and Im sure you will come away with the feeling of confidence and trust that made me choose them for my big repair. 3 /5 David Davila: The work they did on the problems they found was good, but their ability to diagnose problems and be thorough is not the best. I spent several thousands here on for my engine to explode a week later. The person on the phone tried to tell me that I didnt tell them to look at THAT part, but I very clearly did tell them to give the car a full look over because I was tired of bringing it in to shops and wanted some peace of mind for awhile. Now my car is toast and they got their money... So whatever... Lesson learned.

5 /5 Hans Cohagen: Really a Fantastic shop, they really go the extra mile to get you back on the road without over charging. Great for vehicles from FoRd F150, Ranger, BMW 535, Nissan Altima etc! Highly recommend this shop.

5 /5 Sara Mayen: My daughter’s car broke down and the closest AAA recommended shop was Magallanes. I can’t say enough for the great experience I had with all the staff I came across. They kept the coast down for me by shopping for used reliable parts. I got one year warranty on the parts. I had to take the BART to pick up the car, Adriana ( office staff) picked me up from the station. Honestly, the kindness and care plus the discount I got made this place to the top of my list. I highly recommend this shop. It’s very helpful to be informed about what needs to be done and call few places too. In my case this place was the most reasonable.
