1 /5 Knowledgeable One: NOT A GODLY PLACE, CULT EXPERIENCE.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. In the sermon on October 27 the pastor admitted to going to blows with his wife, and said he screamed at her until he lost his voice, then he should STEP DOWN and is unfit to be a pastor in my opinion. He also made some odd references to men being abusive at home, but he expects differently at the church. No, men of the church should be treating their wives respectfully at HOME and at CHURCH. When you can admit to being abusive to your wife, I think the next statement should be a public apology and to step down. And he stated it so casually, it was kind of shocking. This is not the type of leadership that should be presiding over a congregation. And literally the very next service was selected as a day of HONOR for him. I cannot believe how some people fall for this stuff. During that same service on November 3 the pastor came on stage doing the Cha Cha and some other crazy stuff you have to see it. Then got one of the women singers to get out of hand with him and try to act like it was a holy dance??!!!!!! And her jeans were so tight she couldnt even stand straight. While the pastors wife was acting like a cheerleader in the aisles trying to get people to dance too during this truly weird energy. For a minute I thought I was looking at Diddy with TD JAKES. And I commend the people who stayed seated, but the wiser thing was really to walk out. He even cursed in the pulpit during that sermon despite there being the presence of children and his position, or that being a sacred place. Yet the church did not insist that he step down. Instead they sat there and nervously laughed. These people are worshipping men. It seems like a lot of Cult Mentality happening there with members and elders saying constantly its a people loving place. Like a slogan, they repeat it methodically which is kind of strange. But the reality is actually much different. And that slogan may not translate as you think. I think that this pastor realizes people are starting to wake up to him so now hes really putting on a show. I can not express enough the need to be careful and especially if you are bringing in families. No I dont recommend this place. I agree with the other person who mentioned that gossip is a problem here among other things even more concerning. Trust is extremely important when you are dealing with a church, and matters of the heart. You dont expect those things to be spread over the whole congregation by the PRAYER MINISTRY. They are the BIGGEST gossipers in this church. And there is even a criminal element moving through there. I know they greet you, smile in your face and welcome you publicly. But what speaks louder to me is how you treat people behind their back and what is truly happening behind the scenes and out of the pulpit. And that is not only heart breaking, but disheartening. Leadership dress up nicely but you dont always know who youre dealing with. Wolves in sheeps clothing. I mean really how is a woman married to a career criminal and convict an asst to minister and fit for counseling others. It hurts my heart to say these things, I just want to make sure others know who they are REALLY dealing with in this place. Dont let the smiles fool you.
In my opinion the best thing a person could do is to never walk into this place if you truly understood the inner workings and what happens behind closed doors.
