5 /5 Kathi Smith: I love this church! The extravagant welcome and inclusivity of this progressive Christian church is a breath of fresh air. I especially appreciate their Mission and Service Ministry which supports our unsheltered neighbors and is currently helping 9 Afghan refugee families. The choir is awesome too!

5 /5 Tricia Aynes: Do yourself a favor and come enjoy the warm welcome at this progressive, gay-friendly church in Irvine. The pastor is an energetic and creative young woman with a great track record on LGBT+ issues, racial diversity, climate change, pay equity, and workers’ rights. She has just introduced a new contemporary service at 11:15 on Sunday mornings that is upbeat and full of wonderful music. It’s a really special place!

1 /5 Krista Kearns: One of the most unwelcoming churches I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Pastor Halverso made it very clear to me before even entering the church that children were not welcomed. She mentioned not less than three times that they have a quiet room in which I quote “we can’t see or hear you”. Mind you my children hardly made a peep the entire time but when another your child did begin crying and went to the crying room she made a point to get out of her seat, walk down and shut the main doors as if to create an additional barrier. At my church the pastor rejoices in the coos and cries of your children. He often holds or calls up the children of the congregation stating as Jesus did “let the children come to me”. He praises young families for growing our church and teaching children to be Christian’s by bringing them every week. This pastor made me feel horrible for even daring to be present in her space.
