2 /5 Erick Morais: I would say its a great " feel good" church with good sermons from Pastor Quick. As far as outreach programs to help or assist people in transition they dont offer any services other then recommending local shelters.
Another thing to note is that trying to speak with Pastor Quick is almost impossible. Ive went there on Sundays, Pastor led bible studies, called the main office then was told by a woman that she would pass my information on and that I should receive a call but I never did. Its really a small, older congregation with not that many members so for him not able to make a simple call made me wonder whats going on here. Personally, I think hes too busy outside of the church with this or that committee and its effecting the church.
Also, while Im on a tangent, I will say that I feel the jezebel spirit with almost each woman that sits on that stage and also with some of the men there. When Pastor Quick isnt there on a Sunday you may get a long, drawn out, somewhat random message that even the people on stage arent sure about where its going.
I went here for around 3 months and felt welcomed, enjoyed the sermons but didnt feel like they cared about people after church so much. Everyone seems to be doing quite well from what I can see in the parking lot but no one offers to help. Just sunday church to feel good until the next sunday. I kind of lost my trust in churches after this. Yeah the sermon makes me feel great but what after? What does one do after they go to a great service but has to live in less then ideal living situations? Or when they tithe but have no money themselves? Just think about all the " kind" people at their church?
I hope this helps folks and does get back to the church so that it can perhaps help the next person.
I want to make it pefectly clear that I am in no way saying that this is a bad church. Its a church that only takes offers ONE time and DOES NOT preach about sowing seeds or anything to do with a prosperity gospel. I am only stating the mismanagement therein.
