1 /5 Li-Xian Kang: I was a walk-in customer for acrylic nail removal service. The person who assisted me removed my acrylic nails by forcibly bending, scraping, and pulling my natural nails apart from the acrylic. She then inserted a plastic tip into the gap to rip it off forcibly.
I informed the person that my nails were very soft and that the scraping was causing me pain multiple times. I also reacted to the discomfort. However, she only apologized but continued using the same forceful methods—bending, scraping, and forcibly removing the acrylic nails.
As a result, it felt like a layer of my nails had been stripped off, leaving them extremely fragile. A few days later, I noticed some pain in my fingers, and upon closer inspection, I found slight bruising on my nails, likely caused by the excessive force when bending and pulling.
I found the service to be highly unprofessional, especially for customers with soft nails. If you also have naturally soft nails, please be cautious.
