This incredible team of professionals didn’t just save my cat’s life—they restored my faith in veterinary medicine. After experiencing a nightmare of failed treatments and profit-driven care at several Los Angeles emergency hospitals and clinics, we were desperate, heartbroken, and on the brink of losing hope. That’s when UC Davis stepped in and showed us what real care looks like. This hospital is nothing short of a miracle. My cat was critically ill, and everywhere we turned in LA, we were met with outrageous demands for money, unnecessary procedures, and advice that seemed more focused on padding bills than saving lives. We decided to make the seven-hour drive to UC Davis not once, but twice, in hopes of finding someone who genuinely cared—and it was worth every mile, every sleepless night, and every single penny. The team at UC Davis didn’t waste time with theatrics or financial ultimatums. They focused entirely on my cat’s health, treating him like their own. The compassion, expertise, and integrity of everyone involved were simply unmatched. They carefully assessed the situation, created a clear and effective treatment plan, and walked us through every step without any pressure or scare tactics. They gave us honesty, empathy, and above all, results. Today, my beloved cat is thriving because of their care. What’s even more remarkable is how they prioritized his well-being over profit. Kimberly Elayyne We never expected to hear the words your dog has throat cancer, but South Davis Vet helped us through one of the hardest moments of our lives with kindness and compassion. My mom and I brought our beloved Annabelle in when we noticed she was bleeding while eating and showing troubling symptoms. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff, vet techs, and veterinarian treated us with warmth, patience, and care. They took Annabelle back to examine her throat, and when they returned, they had to deliver the news no pet parent ever wants to hear—she had severe throat cancer, and it was progressing fast. They didn’t just give us a diagnosis; they guided us through the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make. They spoke with honesty but also with empathy, making sure we understood what was happening while treating Annabelle with the love and dignity she deserved. They introduced us to Beloved Pet Vet, an at-home euthanasia service, and because of their guidance, Annabelle was able to pass away peacefully at home, wrapped in love, on February 17th at 8 p.m. The hardest part of loving a pet is saying goodbye, but South Davis Vet made sure Annabelle’s last days were filled with comfort instead of suffering. Alejandra The wait time was extremely long, and my child was getting sleepy. Even the EMTs who brought us there seemed annoyed. When we finally got in, there werent any available rooms, so we had to wait in the hallway for about 10 minutes. But once we got a room, we met all the doctors, and everything went smoothly. The doctors were very helpful and explained everything clearly. They quickly tended to my child, making sure to ask if we had any other questions or concerns.

Jim Procida Had an urgent issue. Went to Sutter Urgent Care in Davis. I did not have to wait too long. The doctor, nurse and admit staff were all friendly and professional. My health situation was wealth with and I am feeling much better now. I would use the Sutter Urgent Care again.

Jennifer Nuovo The entire staff and vets are so caring and so knowledgeable. Always appreciate their expertise and explanations. They make every effort to get the pet in when sick. They love dogs! And cats!

Sherry Hull We have always had a good experience at Sutter Davis Lab. First of all, I dont think anyone LIKES having their blood drawn. With that said they do make it a much better experience. My family and I have been going here for years. I have to say, theyve never missed and always get the vein the first time. Everyone is pleasant and kind. If youre scared, like one of my kids, theyre good at getting the job done without too much trauma or drama. It was amazing how they handled her fears.
